capitalism - the most moral system there is. When you provide something of value others want. The exchange of money for the value is voluntary. Most people dont realise capitalism died over a century ago. Today everything is regulated making it croney capitalism or socialism. Voluntary participation is true freedom, an equal wealth creator for all. That saying i am sure this guy worked hard and never stole other people money. He created jobs and opportunities for many familiies. The question to ask is what value does a government create. The answer is none. It is an inefficient consumer of other people wealth that is there to protect itself and those who support it, leaving the country impoverished.

I suppose when you have all the money in the world, and live and a capitalist country, why would you not want to live like this? Is it morally right to live your life in half measures, because you are concerned what other people, who have no bearing in your life will say? People will always talk, whether you are in living in a three bedroom house, in a township, or a five bedroom house in Waterfall Estate, or even in Steyn City. So live your life, as you only live once.

@guner77774 жыл бұрын
@420 Friendly Depends on how he spends his wealth overall, great chances are, yes he creates jobs, but also he's certainly a tax evader. I think that some time ago, in another era, it would have been normal to build such lavish mansions. Nowadays, it's kinda selfish to use that amount of money for this. He could have invested in philanthropic projects. But tbh, the house looks stunning, extremely good taste for most of it, when it comes to Italian palazzo style obviously. If you don't like Italian, then fine, but for what it is, it's spectacular. Remember that most monuments in the modern economies were lavish and luxurious, we've lost that kind of craftsmanship, so it's good to see someone dared to try something like that. Could become a museum one day. My main problem is that it is in S.A., a very unequal country, which makes it worse considering the poverty there. I have mixed feelings, but I'd say this money could have been put to a better use considering the current world we live in.

That's one man's house. How do you even clean such a house.
@RichieD_214 жыл бұрын
Are you kidding? Clean? The owners of this house have hundreds of employees working full time to maintain this house. They dont have to lift a finger. They probably have an employee whos only job is to wait in the bathroom all day for them to shit and wipe their ass

My mouth was literally open in awe throughout this whole video. What an incredible place! Owning a place like this is all a matter of perspective and scale. When you're worth close to a billion Pounds it is nothing unusual or surprising to indulge your fantasies in cars, luxury palaces and the like. Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal al-Saud spent $500 million on his own private Airbus 380. Does that make these people wrong or evil in some way? Why would it if they've been smarter than most others and earned their money through blood, sweat, tears and a lot of very clever thinking. What else are they supposed to do with it, keep it in bank vaults? What's the point in becoming rich if you can't spend it in extravagant and wonderful ways? In any event, I doubt that Douw, Carolyn or any other fabulously wealthy people lose any sleep over the gripes and snipes of petty poor people who just won't be gracious enough to acknowledge their success or earned right to live in this manner. I have nothing but respect and admiration for them, despite accepting that I will never have that kind of wealth or ability to live in such a palace. One of the reasons for that respect and admiration is the staggering amount of charity that more and more mega-rich people are contributing their wealth towards, 67 Blankets being one very small example, with 30 000 needy people having received a free blanket. How much do the gripers and snipers actually give to charity, truthfully?

*_I really liked your comment until you said "I will never have that kind of wealth or ability to live in such a palace". Remember, you are what you think about all the day long. Believing you can achieve all things is the first step toward wealth. Re-define your personal blueprint for success, build a stronger foundation, muster up the passion and vision toward something you do better than anyone in the world. Become highly focused and disciplined toward mastery of your task. Speak it into existence. Write down your goals and recite them outload every day into existence. Follow these steps to get your heart desires: 1) What is that I want? (Meditate) => 2) Can I clearly see what I want? (Visualize) => 3) Recite outloud what it is you want to program your subconscious mind to begin working (Manifestation) => 4) Reinforce the attainment of what you want by a relentless work ethic (Disciplined Work). Remember, you are what you think about all the day long. If you change your words you change your thoughts. If you change your thoughts, you change your circumstances. If you change your circumstances you change you destiny. Now get to work!_*

@@shotimemillionaire With all due respect I was hardly inviting a motivational speech. I've been around long enough to differentiate between reality and wishful thinking. I'm totally content and comfortable with what I've achieved in my life to date, more than many, many others in a number of areas.
