Great video I have this same motor and did a carburetor rebuild. I will most likely need to do a water pump rebuild.

as you know id liked fixing outboards as i stay happy when i fix a Johnson and Evinrude as i like fixin my outboards as i learn to care for an outboard as i save money thiswas myway in future as i knew im good at fixin outboard motors as i loved fixing them motors as you see thiswas my fav hobby as i loved fixing my outboard motors as i feel ready to learn to care for these older outboards as i knew thiswas my hope for the future of boating in my life now as i loved boating and related pastimes as you see thiswas my lifelong hope was tocare for an older outboard like that in my future in my goals was to care for these outboards as i have a disability thiswas hearing id saying was my hope was to fully restore and older outboard in my future as well start a collection of older outboards and preserve the history of outboards these was the Evinrudes And Johnsons as i loved these older outboards as i knew they are alot of fun for me now as the newer model outboards was more trouble unlike the older motors was really easy to fix and restore as you see i love my boating in the future willbe getting my 1st larger boat with an Evinrude 150hp V6 outboard thiswas my first ever large premix Evinrude as i liked the older outboards all my life was spent on the water in my lake in my hometown of Wyong in NSW in Australia thiswas my boating was done on Tuggerah lake this was my local boatin waters thiswas the place where my boating really was fostered as i loved my boating all my life now this was the reason i liked boating was the positive things that comes with boating and related pastimes

Thanks yeah they’re great little motors. Check out vintageoutboard.com. I think it’s 18-3001. Amazon or eBay should have too.

How many screws are there that hold the powerhead on. There was a commercial break after you got started on the removal and I was trying to count them.

Ouch, having to pull the power head off to drop the lower unit. Never worked on one that old. What oil/gas ratio do you use on this one?

Yeah bit of a nuisance for sure. I use 24:1
