**Just one step above basic, but no complaints**
TL/DR: This is not a super-fancy bassinet, but the few additional features it has are the ones that are important to me.
Pros:
o No tools assembly
o Comes with mattress
o Fold down panel so you can use it bedside
o Anchor straps for bedside mode
o Locking wheels
o Good support system
o Height adjustable
o Mesh all the way around
o Reasonable price
Cons:
o Manual is awful
o No storage underneath
This is a reasonably priced but pretty basic bassinet. It hits all the features I need though, and so it definitely earns a full five stars.
Pulling it out of the box and putting it together is quite easy, no tools needed. However, the assembly manual for this thing is pretty awful, I ended up having to consult the product page on Amazon to be sure that I understood how it all fit together. Specifically, there are two rails and you put one on the bed-access side, and different one on the other, and the manual doesn't necessarily make that clear.
Using this as a bedside bassinet is what I was interested in. All you have to do is unzip the side panel, unsnap the rails, pull them up and out, and you now have easy access. You will want to adjust it to the correct height for your bed, then use the safety anchor straps to ensure it stays snug against the side of the bed, but that's all it takes.
I would have liked to have a little storage underneath, this is a very common feature with bassinets. It would have raised the price a few bucks but I think it would have been nice. But again, you're paying for and getting a basic bassinet, so some features are not going to be there.
Good baby bed for a good price, make sure that when your little one can start pulling themselves up you graduate them to a crib with higher safety rails, but until then, this will do the job well.
