This Mopar upgraded cam can be used in any 5.7L Hemi, Ram, 300, Durango, Jeep, Charger or Challenger. This 5.7L Challenger Shaker with Scatpack Stage 2 Cam, Long tube headers, 392 Intake Manifold and 315 NT555g2 tires on demon replica rims. In this I would like for you to hear the HP & torque gains from the mopar scatpack stage 2 cam & 392 intake manifold. These 5.7L Hemi's can make some serious power without spending too much.

Thanks for having me on the channel! It was an awesome time! Ok, missed some mods and will give an overall spent. 392 intake mani (shaker needs new bracket), Legmaker true cai, 87mm ported MMX TB, Scat Pack stage 2 kit, hellcat lifters, Kooks long tubes and green high flow catted mid pipes, Borla Attack cat back, Demon replicas, Nitto 555 G2s (275 front, 305 rear). I think that’s it. Total cost for parts and install is around 10-12k give or take. Sounds like a lot but I did get high quality name brand stuff. You could go cheaper on parts and get the same resultsish.

HHP now has a cam kit and a master kit for their Stage 2 and 3 cams now ranging between 1300-1700 bucks, including the Beehive springs, pushrods, lifters and other goodies. And you can also pay monthly through Affirm. Now that I pretty much have a full bolt on except the intake manifold, that’ll definitely be my next mod

Nice mods to a modern muscle car without paying a fortune for a marked up limited edition soon to be replaced edition. The 5.7 has a lot of performance mods available, unlike the 6.4l. The 6.1 was a different breed of engine and is still capable of running supercharger or turbo with no real issues. The 5.7 is the same that way. The 6.4 needs to have all the internals swapped. But with the kids done here, this thing is awesome. I would have downplayed it a bit just to make it into a bit of a sleeper R/T. But... as they say, if you've got it... flaunt it. Nice work on the car. Looking forward to future posts on it.

The 392 manifold likely didn't add any peek WHP for him. The bread & butter of the 392 manifold is the increase in power early in the RPM's so you're making power faster.

This is the exact setup I want to go with when I trade in my Infiniti Q50 for a 2016 or newer, low mileage and fully loaded Challenger R/T Plus soon. I may go with a fully loaded Scat Pack though... We'll see. Sorry I don't know the exact names of the colors, but I love the lime green, so I'll probably go with either that or silver, possibly gray or maybe even a blue one. I also love the red, but I already have a red Buick Envision crossover. Anyway, This is nicest nicest R/T I've seen so far! Kudos man!

The shaker looks cool, but from what I can see, it really doesn't do anything except for the coolness factor. I got the T/A style hood without the flat black paint. I've been told that this hood can be made intake useful. I do plan to get a cam and lifter upgrade, and I'm definitely going to install a cat-back exhaust system. And mine is sublime green!

Great looking car. I had a 5.7 Blacktop Edition 16' Challenger. I was going to mod it, but upgraded to the Scat Pack Charger. It ended up being a whole lot cheaper.

This is a different cam - it is designed to go into 5.7 hemis. The video I did a month ago was about taking a 392 cam & dropping it into a 5.7. Big cost difference between the 2 but I think this nets you more HP/Torque.

All i want is to have minimum of 100 ho, with heads cams, valves. My full srt exhaust i aleeady put in my rt. So when i supercharger those 150hp from SC becomes 250who extra lol goal to have 600whp.. of course bottom end will be forged.

@@ModernRedHemi I have an awesome idea plus some really good footage for RTs channel. The three of us can race and the one with the lowest time can take on incredible Hemi. I think that would be freaking awesome. However I would suggest to wait for it to get a little cooler because August is going to be really high humidity. Let me know what you guys think?! Thumbs up!

What is the labor cost on a cam install? I was quoted $5000 for everything

That's too much. Camming your ride should run you tops $3500 for everything

@@ModernRedHemi That is still big money . A billet lump stick and roller lifters , push rods , roller rockers and the labor and gaskets and fluids and the tax on all of it . And it all changes with who duz the work and what parts are used . Been playing this game for a long time . But with today's prices I can no longer play seems you got to be a gazillionare to play and win.

@@2x4barrels40 it's cheaper to just buy the more powerful car from the factory these days . I'm more of a ford guy but its usually the same , the money you would spend getting more power, handling , braking , better looks on the cheaper car ( 5.7 hemi/mustang gt) brings you up to the cost of say a gt350or 392 with warranty . Just not worth it anymore unless you can do all the work yourself.

I thought you posted that it had a stage 2 cam on your video title. That don't sound like a stage 2 cam that sounds like a stock cam. A stage 2 cam would have a very lumpy idle.

I will try reaching out & seeing a ball park on everything spent. I would start off with upgraded rims/tires & then move onto longtubes w/ mid pipes & dyno tune.

If your into that seat of your pants feeling and the grunt from under the hood then do the usual intake and exhaust upgrades. Cold air wise what is best deal at the time cause most are within 2hp of each other. Exhaust, stick with a straight through muffler. No flow master. To tie it all in get a tuner which is a simple thing if your able to use a smartphone. This should make it a different ride all together.

I have hellcat replica wheels and bf Goodrich tires already. On my first Challenger SXT, I did Flowmaster exhaust, CAI and Diablosport i2 tuner. I want this to be better quality, performance and loud as hell.

Chris McGann in theory the further back you put the muffler to the rear the louder. So you can always straight pipe the mid muffler and put magnaflo bullets right behind the bumper. Would be stupid loud I would think.

i'm not looking to build tons of power, or race my charger. I just want to free up what's already there. Maybe add a tunner, and make it sound good. I think long tubes are overkill for me so what do you think are the best shorties for the 5.7. I already have a CAI. Resonator delete, and swapped out glass packs for the mufflers. I will probably get an unlocked ECU, and a tunner too. Maybe a cam later on, but that's it.

My RT was cooking when I had a cam & shorty headers. Obviously the long tubes are better all around but for the money the shorties w/ tune def gave the RT a boost.

I went with hooker because I heard the quality of the welds were very good. JBA I heard can be a hit or miss.

@@RTLife I've considered it heavily. I live about 3 hours from Jay Greene so I'm sure I could just drive out to him and buy everything I needed and I've got a friend that lives about an hour from Jay that could help me with the install. Then tune it and be golden.

I want this same set up. I wonder if I went through the dealership, could I go straight to the stage 2 instead of having to buy the stage 1 then the stage 2?

You don't have to do Stage 1 first. If you stay all mopar, you would have to buy the stage 2 pcm or go aftermarket like diablo, but Mopar usually will not warranty anything that is not there's or there install. Sometimes you can find a cool dealership that will honor it, but good luck.

Do not buy the stage 2 pcm from whoever it is dodge sends you to. It’s horrible and you are gonna need a custom tune anyway. Warning, dealerships are expensive. You are gonna lose or are already past the warranty anyway.

You could always have them install everything & then get an emailed tune down the road. Make it drive more aggressive - problem is you will be spending a lot of $$$ doing it this way. Might have less issues warranty wise.
