Great idea. I have pegs on my wheel so I will attach your pipe onto a bat so I don't have to center the pipe every time. Oh. I just had the idea of throwing a cylinder out of clay with that flange on both sides and bisque firing it for an even cheaper pottery chuck.

Great idea! The Giffen Grip is pretty pricey.
