Wow. I have always been frustrated getting the seat in and out of the guard. Never knew that the nipple on the tip is supposed to be used to place the seat (you showed it in this video but didn't explain it). I have watched so many of your videos and others and nobody has ever explained or showed how to place the seat. Thanks for showing this!

Chris, I'm a trades instructor in Gainesville, Florida. I'm building a new curriculum that will result in a certification for Facilities Maintenance Technician. Currently I'm working exclusively with unemployed 20-50 year old men and women living in public housing. Our goal is to get them employed, out of public housing, and help them develop successful careers in various trades. I teach safety, painting, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC basics. We use the NCCER curricula for training which helps our folks get national industry credentials. A Graco rac 5 guard (orange) will take a Titan tip with no issues, allowed me to run the tip that was on sale at the time.

I found a deal on a Graco x5. Largest tip is 515. How many paints require a 517? Does adding water reduce the tip required?

I'm mega disappointed in the new Graco gun coating on blue. It's super cheap and chips, scratches easily. Only had it a month or two and it looks like shit. My last contractor gun looked beautiful for many years. Any one else have the same problem? I know it's just a "tool" but I take care of my shit and don't like bullshit that's why I buy the best so basically Graco kick it up a notch! Get that shit powder coated or something...
