5 AMAZING Composition Tricks that Always Work

In art, composition makes all the difference in the world. It doesn’t matter what you paint, it doesn’t matter how well you paint, if the composition isn’t good, the painting will always have something that just doesn’t work. It’s a part of painting that’s often overlooked and yet it’s so crucial, composition is the essence of the art. The thing is: you’re not just painting a subject, you’re painting a subject within a context and composition is the art of arranging this context to make the subject stand out. In this video, I’m going to give you five composition techniques that always work. They’re not rules, simply ideas that you can try for your projects, we’ll see how they were applied by Master artists throughout the history of art.

I am an artist living and working in France. I learned the techniques of the Atelier of the Nineteenth century and now I try to share some of my knowledge with the rest of the world, because I think that beauty still has an important role to play in artistic creation. What about like comic book art and stuff where you draw a triangle and then you fit the scene into the triangle so the composition is in the shape of a shape or a triangle?
