I was overwhelmed at first (still am) because you have the people who hate the woodsy island and I see people who hate a neat city. Trying to find what meets in the middle. Started Terre forming from the from of my island to make it look symmetrical when you first walk in. So hard to find the right designs though ahhh

just decorate as you go. Maybe in time you'll make an awesome idea for your island. I don't consider my self very creative; my island started out very plain with houses scattered about until I saw the area in front of my airport and realized I should make it look better and now there is a flower field path leading to the plaza. One thing lead to another and I can say my island looks decent now.

Get the ‘customize path’ it makes laying down customized anything so much easier.. you just have to hit ‘a’ and lay customized tiles where ever you want them.. life and time saver

that is one problem and the second is that you need to have the design permanent in your design spaces. If you overwrite them it will also change wherever you applied the design like floor changes or shields..

I have over 200 recipe DIY. Don't know why, but when I save and go back to play a DIY bottle is on my beach, so I get one each time I click to play. If any one needs a DIY recipe, my house is full.

Putting a cushion on the floor in the same pattern as the picnic blanket also gives you the ability to sit down :)

When using the Custom Designs App to lay custom designs on the ground, you can do two at a time when you're facing the correct way: the one you stand on, and the one directly in front of you. The custom path tool is very helpful when laying out a lot of a single/few designs like roadwork.

With the picnic blanket and path designs you can put them down as paths in island designer. You’ll have to pay to get it but you can then use custom designs as paths or details and it’s so much quicker

I haven't even gotten Able Sisters yet (Mable wasn't even at my plaza today 😩) but I'm so nervous about where to place my things because I find it so hard to get money easily. Everyone I know who plays literally has at least 1M bells and here I am just barely having 80k in my savings for my next house loan because I'm running out of storage space in it. Then I'm also trying to build a new bridge so my villagers can get around easier and so I can too. Then I realized it's a game where I can go at my own pace, and I want to be able to atleast play for a year or so before getting bored. I think my island will be perfect even with the amount of times I'll have to pay 50K bells to move a house here or there. It'll take a long time but it'll be slow and sweet hopefully. I'm gonna go with the flow, and occasionally look at inspiration videos like this! Have fun everyone!

You DON'T have to keep going back into the menu if you are doing a bunch of the same pattern!!! Go to your construction app on your NookPhone, and you can choose (instead of a path) to put one of your custom designs in your hand to use for groundlaying! It can only be one at a time, but it makes paths and designs much easier if you are doing a lot of them.

I wish we could have more slots in the custom creator. It looks like a lot but when you get all the different paths and stuff it fills up quickly and the custom creator is shared between accounts so the other players can't create their own ones and you can't use it as a way around not having enough saves. its a big problem because if you place something and then someone changes the design slot the design that you placed changes as well

I was fishing and wanted to sell all my fish at nooks cranny but it’s 12 am

There is a drop off box to the left in front of the Cranny. So after hours you can drop your items off there for processing and they will call you the next day to confirm. Just be aware that they charge a handling fee for using this method. The instructions are given when you check out the box. Or if you needed to empty your pocket, you can just "place" them on the ground in their individual boxes and then you can pick them up the next day to sell.

TIP: it’s easier to put down pro/custom designs if you get the custom path permit, and use the path tool to put them down! don’t have to go thru the menu,
