As a former K-8th grade art teacher, I learned the value of enhancing the children’s artwork at our annual art show. It was always about presentation. I often “framed” their artwork by pasting it onto larger sized construction paper - sometimes double “framed.” People were always awestruck by the beauty and excitement of it all. It was considered one of the major events of the school year.

Kevin Hill, being a deep-seaman for most of my long life, I have been drawn to your seascapes without the beach or shore included. I used to watch wandering Albatrosses gliding over the rough long-low swells over the sea after my watch. At eighty-two, I need to be more creative in my retired life. So, decided to take up painting seascapes with stormy night scenes and full Moon-light with acrylics. You clearly have the expertise I need to learn with me starting a complete novice. @@VSShilpa , I put it off, too. All my friends are artists, and most are better than I. The table where I used to paint has been piled up for years and each time I walk past it, I realize my dream of painting again is becoming a nightmare. I also realized if I can't begin again at a time when I'm supposed to be staying home, I'm really not in good shape with no excuses. If I have creativity or talent, it is my responsibility to make use of it. I am cleaning off my table now, and something will get painted this week. I challenge you to do the same.

Hi Kevin. I have always been a fan. Please make a video about how you prepare for a painting especially in using oil paints. Do you mix any medium? Or oils? Or spirits? I want to knowww because after I lay my background when i paint my trees the paint wont layer and the result in the canvass is an oily mess.
