5 Awesome Addons For MSFS 2024!

I sincerely thank you for another release of new add-ons for MSFS 2024. I watched the information about the OptiScaler program with great interest. Would you consider dedicating a separate episode to this program? I think it's a groundbreaking tool, but it requires proper installation of the files. If you could show on-screen how you do it, I'm sure many people would start using OptiScaler on a daily basis, especially VR users. Once again, thank you for another batch of fascinating content for MSFS 2024.

Popout panel manager works fine for popping out the panels, but as soon as I pause the game or go into settings it loses the panels. 2024

@@OverkillSimulations yes it does loose the panels if you pause the sim. Hopefully that is fixed in a later update.

I would not recommend the Taxi Ribbon add-on. MSFS 2024 is too unstable. Only the animated orb is supposed to work with 2024, and it did not. Removing the add-on from the Community folder did not restore the default ribbon. If you are on the MS store version of MSFS 2024, you'll need to verify/repair files through the XBox app to get it back.

hello, concerning pop out pannel manager, did he cause you drop fps ? because when i'm poping out a pannel, my fps drops from half, i'm researching a solution but i can't find anything to help that problem

solution found Riva Tuner Statistic is the reason for fps droping if RTS is closed, i can open so many pop out pannel as i want with almost no drop fps. if some one also had this problem of droping fps and they has RTS runing on back ground, try turning off, it'll probably solve the problem

Just one question: how is DSSL quality regarding glass panel? Is it useful or the image quality drops to much? Next month I will purchaise a new PC for the MSFS2024 but not sure if pick an AMD Radeon or Invidia GPU for my 27" 2k monitor ... prices are quite different. Better an AMD with 16 mb vram or an Nvidia 12gb + ev. DSSL?

Go for amd cpu with nvidia gpu. Because of cache memory feature. That’s important in flight sims

Only the Animated Taxi Ribbon orb is compatible with MSFS 2024.

What is the point of Addon Linker when all you have to do is drop any scenery or mod file into the community folder?

The biggest benefit is being able to turn addons on/off, like only using scenery where you are going to fly right now, to save on loading and resources

For me, the biggest benefit is you can put your addons on a different hard drive to your sim installed, and it creates "virtual links" to the community folder. You can also organise addons into a logical folder structure (e.g. airports by country and continent) and you can enable and disable them. It also shows you all of your addons on a map. It also allows you to launch the sim along with custom lists of other programs. A better question would be "what DOESN'T it do?".

In addition to what others have said, it can automatically handle scenery dependencies. For example: If your scenery addon requires an additional library to work properly (boats, people, objects... whatever), you can link the library to the scenery addon. That way, when you load the scenery addon, the library gets loaded with it automatically! Another thing that Addon Linker is _really_ useful for, is finding _conflicts_ between scenery addons! Not all scenery addons work and play well with each other, and Addon Linker can help identify which ones are causing you grief!

It allows you to turn on/off aircraft, scenery... Also can quickly show you the version number of your community stuff. In MSFS2020 I could stable aircraft I wasn't flying to let the sim start up later. I also had a conflict between two runway marker mods (from the same vendor). When Imflew over the US I'd click off the EU mod and the other way around.

Always appreciate your video uploads. Right now though I'm going to have to hold off on playing 2024 for the foreseeable future. It is just too buggy right now. We need mods that fix the game as it should have been at launch.
