How is it they designed a system so complex and they cant design it so your seeing your controller movement onscreen? Like if I move my joystick I should see it onscreen and know its the one I am selecting. Instead you assign Joystick1left upX/Raxis to pitch. How is that a good design?

In free flight mode, everything works fine, I managed to program the C172 G1000 so I can use all the rotaries, start battery, alternator, etc. But in career mode my inputs don't seem to work. So far I've only been able to control a few things like heading and toggle alternator. I have to use other events, changing data value doesn't work at all. Everyone else has this too?

Overkill, have you tried the honeycomb bravo with the Fenix A3xx in the new MSFS 2024? i tried loading the spadnext profile i had for msfs 2020 in 2024 but it did not work for me...

i sat at my pc for 100s of hours on 2020 not this time for 2024, better things to do in my life than sit on mfs 2024 for another 100 hours plus love your work thanks for your hard work tho i think i'm done with mfs 2024

An inspirational video, thank you. I have spad.next but I've only used it for things I couldn't do in the MSFS configuration settings. If I set it up for everything would it work with MSFS 2020 and 2024, simply depending on which version I used? Also, how do you backup your settings?

I cant speak for 2024 yet, but as stated in the vid you may need to alter a setting or two that changed in ms2024, but i got tired of loosing my msfs2020 custom configurations when i had to reset my MS profile! So all my controller configs are in Spad, and yes BACK up those settings files. I keep a second directory on a flash drive with all my Spad , Mobiflight & other 3rd party configurations! Nothing worse that a pc snafu and zap - 3 months of work gone.

I can no longer get inside the plane, the toggle between the cockpit and the outside view no longer works. It worked fine yesterday. That's it I'm applying for a refund!

I was already ready to use SPAD. Seeing you trying to get into the airplane made me chuckle. Try hopping in the PMDG 777 300ER. I can walk around this beast but I can exactly open a door and walk in. 🤣 You are correct on customer support. I asked them one question and they were assholes.

@@OverkillSimulations I don't know how it works until I can figure out how to get into it. LOL Reading posts from Robert Randazzo, they are working on it. They did not get the SDK with enough time to be ready for launch. I think it is a familiar theme for developers. It seems like a no-brainer but I won't criticize. I have a rule to not criticize unless I have been in those shoes. I have not. :)

VPC panels are awesome. I have one mounted on a wall tv mount that swings out when Im in GA aircraft. Controls condition levers, flaps, gear, trim etc

I’m having a problem. Most of the aircraft with avionics have black screens no matter what I try. I am using the Honeycomb yoke and throttle but it does the same with my virple stuff hooked up so I don’t think it’s a switch issue. Any thoughts?

I use Logitech controllers (pedals and yoke) but I also have plugged into the yoke the multipanel and switch panel also from Logitech. MSFS2024 will not see these two peripherals. This is why I use Spad.Next.

Hello, I am experiencing difficulties programming my Yawman arrow using Spad. Despite my efforts, I have been unable to initiate any movement of the arrow’s internal buttons within Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. I have updated both the application and the bridge software (LVAR), and the Spad add-on is located in the community folder. However, I am unable to make it functional. I won’t even dare to ask in their discord channel 😅

funny -- you did ask in the discord ... and you were responded too where you even said " Thank you ... I needed to restart spad, I can see it now!" ... the entire discord is replied to by users that have no monetary influence yet they get bashed on when people show up and expect to have someone program their sim for them.

@LesOReilly So, I was having trouble seeing the controller in Spad, so I asked for help in the Spad Discord. When I restarted Spad, the controller appeared. But now, I can’t seem to program a simple left or right brake. I add the events, but the brakes don’t move. It’s the same with the trim. That’s what I was writing about here. I don’t usually use the Spad Discord unless I’m stuck, like I am now. I’m just looking for some guidance on what to do. I don’t need anyone to program it for me. I’m sorry if this is a bit of a hassle. It’s possible that this is a bug with the simulator, as this controller isn’t very common, and not everyone uses Spad with it.

Oh man, the control setup is a MESS. They happend to take the 2020 control mapping which is terrible and make a it 10 times worse! I really wanna like 2024, but its very difficult right now!

Do you have to disable all the bindings in the sim as well? If not won't they conflict?

In ms2020 you do. I created a "empty - Spad" profile for all my controllers. That way you still can switch back to the Default or any other profile in the game. Also be aware there 'seems' to be lots of multiple bindings in MS2024 for some controller switches, just watched a video on that! Its such a cumbersome gui.... spad is a relief

there is no staff only users... maybe share your discord user name and where you felt you were treated badly ... most people go in an think the people helping are paid staff when they are just users trying to help -- when they don't get someone remoting into their computer to configure the plane for them they don't like the response....

Have not tried Spad, but downloaded 2024 in 1/2 hour (mid-day-Illinois on the 20th), and after configuring my Bravo I took a short flight in the 172 from KDPA to KDKB with zero issues-smooth as silk! I have the Ryzen7 3800 cpu and AMD RX 5700TX gaming card.

Microsoft wanted to gamify FS2024 more. I think that's why we got that interface. Not a fan. I agree it's worse. Although, to their credit, I do think it's a little smoother and quicker.

Also try downloading pre made profiles for your aircraft and then altering them a little. Works for me nearly every time 😊

oh hello Kettle :) --- remember that you were another user just like us that was helping out -- YOU spent more time posting memes that were "Leaders are Readers!" when people had some repetitive questions.... No one is perfect :) people get aggravated when search is not done.. and Real time communications are not as easy for many. Your personal issue is that the Dev of SPAD stopped talking to you because you wanted him to teach you how to make a WASM file that would allow your software to send H and B Events t the sim without the need for SPAD to be your gateway -- that is NOT a horrible human .. that is just a person that has no interest in helping you compete with their software. if your going to pretend like you are a consumer protecting consumers -- don't leave out the history details..
