I own 3 of the 5 cameras on your list and would agree all these cameras are great, but I don't really consider the M6 mark ii a point and shoot. And I would probably add the Sony rx100 vii to this list. It's an amazing little point and shoot. I have the G7x mark iii, the Sony ZV-1 and two of the M6's. As I'm a Canon girl, I haven't been that impressed with the Sony, but the rx100 vii is on my wish list. Out of all my cameras, including my action cameras (2 original Osmo Action cams), the G7x is the one I carry everywhere I go. My son slims it down even more (he doesn't like having an external mic) with the Canon SX 740 HS. That camera puts to shame my G7x with it's amazing zoom. Great video, thanks for the information.

I would agree the m6 mark ii is not a point and shoot but It's so compact that I added it as a prospect, not to mention the automatic mode is so straight forward as is with all canon cameras though. try the Ricoh GrIII(x), it is absolutely Great, way beyond picture quality of Sony Rx100. and it fits much better in Hand than the Sony. I own Both so i can compare ditectly

@@mh7711 hey i’m trying to decide between these two cameras. i really wanted the ricoh but heard the autofocus is somewhat slow in lowlight conditions, and the sony might be better for that. is that your experience? the most important thing for me is to have a camera that can capture photos quickly and accurately, in whatever lighting conditions

I have the Canon G7x II and the M50 I. Recently I bought the GRIII and the image quality just blows my mind. The Fuji x100v is not available currently, but the xe4 has the same sensor and processor and is a lot cheaper and more versatile.

The whole point of a compact camera is to be pocket friendly and as such, choices 2 and 3 really don’t come into this category. Where are the Sony RX100’s, which really are compacts. Poor.

I love my little Canon m200 for its size. (It’s the lil brother to the m50.) I’m using it mostly for stills, when I don’t want to lug around my Canon DSLRs or mirrorless cameras. You can adapt EF/EFS lenses to it, and there’s a few EF-M native lenses that work great on it too.

Nice. I get very nice photo and video from the Eos m. Doesn't have AF or many features but the image is very close to the M50 so i would imagine the m200 is even better.

I’m surprised you mentioned so many canon ef-m Mount cameras considering they seem to be phasing out the whole line (if not already have) and how you easily left out many micro four thirds options. Which are amazing and have bigger sensors than 1 inch, and rep some of the smallest interchangeable cameras to date. Not to mention a superb and always growing micro four thirds camera lens Mount/line up. I also wouldn’t have included the x100v for its size in comparison. Or at least would have included it as the biggest compact. But by the term compact that you used, I think more of cameras like the rx100 land the Panasonic lx10. Yes and of course the g7xii and the zv-1. Those all fall into that category, yet you only listed two. Fujifilm also have a couple of SWEET options too that are in that same vein of camera. And let’s not forget the kind of compacts, the Ricoh GR!!

The ef-m cameras are very small for interchangeable lens cameras that's why I think they are great for people that are looking for small lightweight cameras. Even if they phase out ef-m lenses there are enough out there already for pretty much every application. So far the rf-s cameras are larger than the ef-m cameras. The micro four thirds cameras generally don't have good AF in video so they are not my favorites. I have never used a Ricoh camera and don't know too much about them so that's the thought process behind this list. Thanks for watching and commenting by the way.

Which one would you consider for concert photography as a 2nd camera? The lighting always changes & there tends to be little to no light at times.

I took the g7x to a concert once and the photos came out great. The zoom helps a lot without ruining lighting and quality. Only concern would be battery life. You would probably have to bring an extra battery for longer shows.

Photo editors with AI tech are here. Hence, there's no need for premium DSLRs to have premium baked photos. Old camera photos processed with photo editor apps coupled with AI can be tuned into several formats and enhancements that were not possible years before. So, I'm turning in my heavy DSLRs for small and light high-end point-and-shoots.

@@alexalternateacc for video you have capcut and resolve which are using a lot of machine learning algos, for photos there is luminar which is an AI version of lightroom or something to that effect and you also have midjourney and other similar software for creating digital art etc. None of it can take the place of legit photography and videography skills but it can sure enhance things a bit.

However, this camera doesn't deserve the hype we're watching. Because it's just another point & shoot camera like all the others.

Wa alaykumus salaam. The Canon Auto modes do descent but i prefer manual. I have some photo tutorial and video tutorial videos that explain manual settings if it's something you are new to.

you forgot the Ricoh GrIII(x), the best of All These cameras. I compared all your mentioned cameras but decided for the Ricoh because of its unreachable sharp picture quality and edge sharpness and because of small and Light Build

I didn't include any Ricoh cameras because I never used any. Also I'm not sure how their AF is in video. The cameras on this list were ones that I know are tailored to both photo and video.

I like my Olympus E-M5 II. It has stabilization and is weather resistant. It’s about same size as Canon M6 II, but adds à viewfinder. It’s micro 4/3 so lenses are smaller.

First camera is way too big to be considered compact. Also interchangeable lenses is a bad feature for small camera as you want them to retract into body instead of taking up space.

I screen recorded the footage from Canon's channel and screen recordings default to 60 fps on QuickTime. That's why it's a little off. It's not from the camera.

Yes the Sony e-mount lenses work across all modern Sony cameras. The third party lenses are affordable and awesome. Many of the Sigma and Tamron lenses from the last 4 years are pretty awesome lenses priced very well compared to sony g-master or canon rf lenses.

@@FulaanCreative I'm really trying to learn how this works. Sony has a lens "E PZ 18-105 mm F4 G OSS APS-C" which has APS-C in its name. When looking in their compatibility browser I see comment for full frame cameras that "The angle of view will be narrower down to that of APS-C size". I would love to see a video that shows this effect before shifting into getting Sony gear.

@@larsgregersen not sure what that means. I think it is saying that the focal length will be multiplied by 1.5x if you put it on an aps-c camera which is to be expected. So a 22mm full frame lens would give you about a 35mm equivalent on an aps-c camera.

@@FulaanCreative It's a terrible decision on the part of Canon. All the Sony A6000 series cameras have built-in EVFs and some of those models are cheaper than the M6. With today's ISO & Image Stabilization performance, as well as fast lenses, people don't need to have a built in flash as much as an EVF, And if the user is even half serious about photography, he/she would choose an EVF over a flash any day of the week. That being said, my G5X II has both flash and built in EVF. And I use that EVF about half of the time, and almost always in outdoor pictures. If Canon can squeeze both flash and EVF into a smaller and cheaper G5X, why couldn't they do the same with a more expensive and slightly larger camera like the M6? I wanted to buy the M6 but ended up settling for the G5X II for that reason.

Lot of the youth are looking for these for the picture effects, styles of making 70's look and other styles, like the Cybershot Sony's, but might be the older models, as some Sony cams have dropped the licensing for such......any you can shed light on that do such options with good sensor? ZV-1 doesnt have a built in flash, so it makes it not such a good compact all around camera.

It's very similar to the zve-10 and m50. I used to recommend it but found out later that it was overheating in 4k for some users so I left it out.

Panasonic LX15 Leica lens f 1.4 is very, very good camera in lowlight it beats my R10 in photo + video. Try it you be surprise in lowlight

@@TechqpR3d3x yes R10 has big crop in 4k 60, your right about the zve10, up to 4k 30. In that price range i think the Nikon z30 may be able to do 4k 60 if i remember correctly but it overheats after a while.

Interchangeable lenses cameras are NOT! compact dude, and they are NOT point and shoot either. Either you are honestly wrong or basically did a click and bait move. You should've had Olympus, Ricoh RG, and Panasonic Lumix instead of the DSLRs. Thanks for the vid anyway.

100v is so overpriced, many people will miss the joy because of how the market works. It's definitely not worth the 2k (close to) price tag. Sure, if you have the cash, no sweat, but if you have 2k to spend, then budget is probably a lot more flexible.

Yes at 2k it's most def overpriced but it's supposed to be selling for 1400. I think the hype is more around the way the cameras looks and feels vs what it's capable of outputting.

Most of these aren't point and shoot cameras my guy, they are mirrorless cameras.

All point and shoot cameras are mirrorless as opposed to SLR. I think what you meant to say is that some of the cameras are not beginner cameras per say and are interchangeable lens cameras in which case you would be right but I added them to the list due to their compact size, affordable price and the fact that they all have an auto mode or you could say point and shoot mode.
