I think these ideas are helpful and useful. They take odd shaped items and corral them together into a functional and accessible group. Thank you for sharing these tips.

The plastic shoebox containers are a staple in my workshop! Wal Mart sold them for .88 cents until recently, and several years ago I bought a stack of them! As in a BUNCH! A label maker is used to produce neat looking description of contents. When stacked on wire rack shelving, it gives a nice, clean and orderly appearance as well as being extremely convenient! Being a hoarder of hobbies (my workshop is home to woodworking, metalworking mini lathe & mill, coin rings & bells, paracord & leather work, model building etc) I need lots of storage dedicated to each individual pursuit, and this is an excellent means to an end!

I love taking one item and adding something as simple as the peg board to make it even more useful. I think that I have a few other places to apply that idea. Thanks as always.

I like a 5 gallon bucket tucked in a corner for shovels, hoes, etc. or a trash can to hold the rakes as well.

Try adding some horizontal struts to the vertical tubes so you can separate the items (camp chairs) so you can pull one from the bottom without disturbing the stack very cool btw

Thank you for the inspiration. The first item is out of stock now. You can easily build that first item with wood and PCV pipes. don't even have to attach to wall if you have a shelving system like Muscle Rack. Just attach pieces of wood to the shelves and connect PCV or metal pipes between those woods that extend out from the shelves.

Great ideas! Guess what I'm buying on my next trip to Lowes! Anyway, here's what I've done as a no buy way to organize my garage and basement. There's a swap "shop" in our recycling center. Each time I go there to throw out my garbage (which costs $1,000 per year for a private service!!!), I look at what's available. I have acquired a lot of Sterilite drawer bins for beach toys, camping stuff, grill accessories, etc. I also found tote bins for things such as holiday decorations to store in the basement. I found a donated crib with a peg board for the bottom. I put that on the wall for the bike accessories. I thought about taking the slatted sides, but couldn't think of a use at the time. The next time I was there, they were gone! I also use discarded milk crates for items such as gasoline containers and big rolls of shop towels. In the summer, schools toss out things such as book cases. One of them holds our winter boots and cooking equipment we rarely use. So my garage and basement don't look Pinterest worthy, but they're mostly dust-free and we can store both our cars in them. That part is not negotiable!

I store tons of stuff in the plastic bins. Little ones for small tools, gloves, ppe, misc. Big ones for stuff like paper towels that I don't want dust or mice in. The large ones I put on small dollies so they roll - eliminates the hassle of moving them.

Algorithm offered me your car ramp video. Nice; I'm good for now but some good ideas to stick in my back pocket. At the end of that was the splash for this video. As Jack White has sung, "I can tell that we are gonna be friends." LOVE me some shop storage/organization/infrastructure ideas! Subscribed, full "belled" - talk to you again soon I think. 🤟👍

Wow, that gives me an idea. I got a truckload of rack shelving from a local DVD rental store nearby. The 2'X4'X4" grid racks can be used with the 4'X4'X4" grids to make an L shape storage rack. My neighbor throws away his Christmas lights every year and buys new ones the next.

The only proper way to store a hose is a retractable hose reel. Yes, they are pricey, but they're a great investment. Got myself three 30-meter ones last spring to cover the whole plot, the change is drastic. No more connecting and disconnecting the hose, unrolling it and rolling it up, just pull it out, use it, a slight pull and the spring rolls it back in. Everything nice and neat, no hassle at all.

They are definitely one of the best ways to store hoses, but not everybody is willing to buy them.

Love the first item, will have to look at that to see if I have the horizontal space to allow things like chairs to go in it sideways, but the concept is great. As for the plastic bins, welcome to 1946 my friend. :D

I didn't start using the plastic boxes in '46 but have been using them for a really long time. Key is using same size as much as possible. From "shoe box" to 49 quart and larger.

Place some duck tape on the top of your carpenter pencils and punch a hole in it. Now hang them from the pegboard. Instead of buying cups for pencils use your used shampoo bottles (I like the square ones they stack best) and cut them with the ever present utility knife, voila a plastic storage container for pencils and misc.

First off, I'm really cheap. I screwed 8 pieces of mule tape that I had laying around into the ceiling of my garage above the garage door opener track. Then I tied them off to some extra bamboo stalks to make two hanging "beams". I guess you could use broom sticks or whatever, but remember, I'm cheap. Now I have a place to store extra fishing rods, shovels, pvc pipes, etc. in an area that is rarely used. Mule tape is really strong.

I installed plastic pegboard in my garage and there are three things I like about it. 1. You don't need a stand off frame because it already has edges molded in. 2. The plastic hooks fit tight in the holes so they don't come off and fall when you lift something off of them. No retainers required. 3. The plastic hooks have large rounded tips so they won't scratch you or anything that might brush against them. Also, you are not limited to the plastic hooks, anything designed for normal pegboard will work because the holes are the same size and spacing as normal pegboard.

how are you damaging pencils and zip ties? Are you dipping them in hydrochloric acid? Also you must be joking that you don't know what plastic see-through shoeboxes are.

$112 for the camping chair storage???? Umm…no. Nice idea but I expected to see this for one-tenth it’s price. Made in China right? Get some spikes for 1.50 each at HD, put into scrap wood. attach to wall, and for 5% of the cost of the Amazon product you have your storage. Or go to HF and get some ladder brackets for a similar price.
