I’m 56 and have autoimmune disease which makes my skin and especially my lips very dry. My lips are so dry I can’t wear lipstick. I started using carenel sleep lip mask at night and my lips are so soft now and no longer look dry. I put it on at night and when I wake in the morning I still have some of it on my lips. It’s awesome stuff and only $10 for three on Amazon.

@loulou9978 I too have a number of autoimmune diseases and it seems every part of my body is dry. I try to use lotion and it won’t be absorbed. At 72 I have just about given up on ever mastering dry, flaky skin. It’s really embarrassing and nearly impossible to deal with. I’m going to look up the product you mentioned and give it a try. Oh my goodness I’ve felt like I’ve been losing my mind trying to figure out why my lips are so chronically dry! Sorry if this is TMI, but I can literally pull skin from my entire lip end to end, and then it starts all over again. I’ve tried everything on the market, even adding heavy hand creams on top and nothing works. I also have serious health issues, I’m willing to try ANYTHING to fix my poor mouth. Thank you for sharing, I’ve never spoken to anyone else dealing with this.❤

I also have autoimmune diseases. When you get one, you’ll get more eventually. They’re all interrelated unfortunately. But believe it or not I use Vicks or if I can find it Mentholatum. Works for my dry flaking lips like a dream.

I agree. It looks pretty on blondes. They're the only one that can pull that color off without looking weird or washed out. Though, somehow Priscilla Presley did it with her dark hair and loads of black eyeliner. She's a special beauty though.

Years ago I used the powder foundations but I had to go to liquid. Suddenly I saw that even liquid became very dry on my chin no matter how much moisturizing I did. I finally got to go to the Sephora sale. Anytime in years past others would try a foundation at least 2 colors to light. This time they used a camera phone to shade match. Omg after explaining all my issues they tried the Lady Gaga HAUS Laps foundation. This stuff is mind blowing amazing. Even after hours of use my skin looks and feels soft. It doesn’t settle in to my road map lines, texture. Thank you for always showing different price points to help us all. God bless

I'm 50 and I swear by very minimal makeup, I use kosas concealer under the eyes and a tubing mascara because it's easy removal, Charlotte Tilbury lip liners are very long lasting. My favorite are the Fenty lip glosses, and merit lip oils, I also love the hourglass face pallettes with the art on front(the light butterfly 🦋 has the best highlighter & I also got the jellyfish). I very rarely use foundation or SPF chemicals because that stuff actually ages your skin. I get people telling me I look like I'm in my late twenties early thirties

I just recently purchased the Maybelline concealer and I agree, it is a great product, I love it. I also got the brightener. Also, I have tried about 100 lip plumpers ( I did not try City Lips) but I feel I finally found one that actually works - its is by Dr Dennis Gross ( Plump and Repair Lip treatment) - so happy with it. I’ve used City Lips and Maybelline eraser concealer for many years. The Fenty blush has me intrigued because of the staying power. I’m always having to set then apply a powder blush on top. Anything that streamlines my makeup routine is a big win 🩷

I think for me, the "CITY LIPS" SHOCKED ME!! I actually purchased the lip gloss during the promo you spoke about. I wore a couple of times & didn't experience anything....But, I trust you. That being said, I am going to use every day as you have shown. UPDATE:: It's now been couple of weeks & I have to say, I LOVE IT& use EVERY DAY & several times if I want to freshen up. I'm am now on to the next product....The name slips my mind right now (over 50 hurdle we all face) But I believe it's like the DENESSA.......it's a primer. I absolutely love City Lips I am 60 years old and I have been using the clear. I ordered a wine or brownish color for the holidays and did the bogo sale and ordered one for a friend. I love the city lips and night oil. I did snag the deal already! I had to see a dermatologist and was diagnosed with cheilitis, and I’m happy this doesn’t irritate my lips at all. I do use the Maybelline illuminating eraser and have loved it for years. The other products I’m very intrigued about. Thanks for sharing

I stocked up on City Lips clear gloss in the BOGO sale this morning. Best gloss\lip conditioner on earth. I also use the Maybelline concealer in pink, applied on top of my Colleen Rothschild Illuminating Skin Tint Eye Cream. I’m 68 and I’ve been obsessed with make up and skincare since I was 12. I’m not attempting to look younger, but I’m definitely trying to look like a well kept 68 year old who makes an effort!

There are 2 very light shades of Maybelline- numbers 160 is light pink, and number 95 is very light pink…sometimes hard to find so just keep looking 😊

I love the City lips products! I’m 69 and have been wearing for years! I used to be a fan of Danessa Myricks until I realized her products are made in Communist China where there are no child labor laws. I’ve used the Ilia in the past but now use the Tower 28. Both equally good on my dry skin. I may give the Fenty blush a try. Thanks Risa!
