I got started with you the end of last summer and I can say as a 64yr old man who has been a bodybuilder, genetically stiff and waved off stretching and found himself in a pucker of the tightest fascia, hamstrings, hips with horrible knee pain - you are absolutely correct what you teach is a life changer. I am still stiff but I have come so far through the fall and winter and make stretching 1/3 of my training 6 days a week. I have dealt with excruciating pain and it is still painful but much better and my general mobility has climbed.

This is one of the best fitness videos I have ever found. Each exercise is explained adequately without excessive conversation. There is no annoying music. Your voice is pleasant and clear. The video is just the right length, and I LOVE that you don't try to be cute or funny, you just get right to the point and give us exactly the information we need. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you! I am definitely saving this one to my fitness video library.

Started doing squats about 8 months ago. Every morning in the shower. The transformation is incredible. I started out and could just get down about 8 inches, and struggled to get back up again. Now I can get all the way down and back up again with little effort. The amazing thing is I started because of back pain which is now all but gone, but the overall flexibility in my legs, but and lower back is incredible. I will be 60 in a couple of months and have been using knee surgery when I was 15 as an excuse for poor mobility. Wish I star5ed much earlier. Keep at it everyone

For me it's the Cossack. But I've always had bad hams and inner thighs even many moons ago when I did tae kwon do. The squat is actually very easy in comparison. But that may just be my particular genetics and path through life. I've been a somewhat serious cyclist for decades.

I'm a man, 77 years old and I can do 21 deep squats. I love your videos, but trust me. For the people I know, it's not their age, or that they can't build up their ability . . . it's their will to to do them. A lot of people are deteriorating couch potatoes. These squats are life transforming but a lot of people are attached to their dis ease.

@@ppmppm7010 I'm 69 with psoriatic arthritic knees.... do both, one is not better than the other. Holding the squat is good...stretches out things. Doing high reps is good....builds endurance and strength. Do a few reps, then hold, rinse & repeat according to how good it feels. If you can find something heavy to hold out close to your body, like a kettelbell, even better.

I love your videos. I've been improving my mobility with them for a while now. Up until now, I've come across videos that quickly discouraged me because I didn't see progression. Or they looked like 'do this routine every morning to be mobile', but I wasn't mobile enough to even do them. Thank you, you're doing a great job!
Thank you this is so helpful. I started doing the Asian Deep Squat over a year ago ( I am 63 male), I could barely do 30 seconds, it was torture. I am up to 5 mins plus now, and in that time most of my lower back pain has gone. Amazing . PS and I dont get tired legs after big walks ;)

This has to be one of the best KZbin videos on mobility, stretching, and workouts. As someone who had an ACL reconstruction over 10 years ago from an injury during my military career and now a serious ankle injury from a very recent climbing accident, I picked up your advice about people with injuries or disabilities. I do work closely with my surgeon and my physio still as I'm trying to get back to climbing and strength with flexibility is important. So far, I'm almost back to full primal squats but the flexibility in my ankle isn't quite there yet. I do still use the rolled mat against the wall method. Dead hanging. I still use my climbing hang board a lot as it has no impact on my ankle and I want to keep my finger strength. When someone new tries a hang board I always advise them to keep their feet or toes on the floor and then put their body weight onto their hands or fingers. Cossack squats, I haven't done but I'll definitely look into doing them now. Thanks for a great video, I've subscribed and liked.

Our host is charming, polite and bringing with good will and cheer, which makes her a unique coach. She's knowledgable and has a knack of being able to reach the heart as well as motivating the mind. There should be more places like this. Thank you for an inspiring workout and a feel-good session. 👍and subscribed. All the best! Most of us look at others to be better, however, it can be frustrating for the vast majority who are often impatient and want progress instantly. So, I reiterate what you said about being better and improving your "quality of life". I once read a motivation text which said that we should always strive to become better every day, but not looking at others, just by measuring progress by looking at ourselves. Life does not have to be a competition to see who does the most, because not every one of us is physically suited to progress in the same manner. Love your body and be patient. If you are consistent, and you find the motivation to work out regularly, then your self-confidence will help you through the process. Amaze yourself and live a full and happy life.
