Dive roll is hardly needed, most places don't require you to dive into a roll when you just need to escape. If the drop is high you just drop into a normal roll, and if the drop is not high you don't even need the roll.

If you manage to climb a wall that high much quicker than your opponent you've already won, you can just stand up there and kick him down every single time he tries to get up there, kick him in the head or face and stop on him fingers in his head is not in the right position to kick, you can also throw stones and if he tries to throw stones as well you're more likely to win because you have the high ground and therefore better cover and peeker's advantage on your side. Also if there is a wall that he can run around and catch your landing you can climb half way and as he is around the corner jump down the way you climbed up, that will let you put even more distance between the guy who is chasing you and gives you an already known path to run ahead of you but only do this if he is right behind you otherwise you will be wasting distance.

I just have this feeling parkour is what I want to do, but I can't find any good ways to practice and if i can, i always end up failing. I really want to learn parkour, and this guy can probably teach me what I need to know. Thank you "Ronnie Street Stunts"!
@enjoyfanta93825 жыл бұрын
I know your comment is from nine months ago, but I’ve been doing parkour for almost 4 years now, and just a tip I have for you is don’t get discouraged. When I started off in 7th grade I got hurt a whole lot, but that helped to teach me what not to do, so failing isn’t really a bad thing. If you can’t find any spots, what I did was use the lunch tables at my school to practice vaults and used some walls in the back to practice wall runs. Hoped this helped, and good luck on your training.

@@enjoyfanta9382 does it help to be shorter or taller when trying to do parkour just curious because I was thinking about trying it out but I'm tall like 6'3 and everyone tells me that only short people do that kind of stuff. Any input would be appreciated thx.
@enjoyfanta93825 жыл бұрын
Gabe Itches Personally, height doesn’t seem all that important to me. A lot of professionals are pretty tall I think, around a little under 6-foot to a little over, and I’m relatively short for my age, being about 5’4 (I’m turning 17 this year). If parkour/freerunning is something you want to try it out, I’d say go for it, just stay safe and start off small by learning to roll, precision jumps, and some basic vaults. The most important thing in my opinion is taking it slow. Learning parkour is all about progression. If you want to learn something new and it looks kind of difficult, try to break it apart into several different motions and practice those, then at the end put them all together. Hope this helped and good luck with your training.
@aeronautisch5 жыл бұрын
Gabe Itches. I think it depends on certain factors. What do I think? If you are a bit smaller, you might be faster and more flexible, or have a faster reaction time. If you’re taller you can get over obstacles that are higher. 6’3 is not lanky tall, but we don’t know how flexible you are either. I’d say look around for a place where they teach parkour, or do something like Yoga so you atleast get to know your body and it’s limits.. It’s all up to you from there :)

Alright kiddies. You dumb fuckers don't know the effort and mental fortitude needed for my craft. You can't learn it from KZbin videos you stupid fuck
@StarVarianth6 жыл бұрын
Lmao “idk lulz” you may not be able to learn it instantly from a KZbin video, but the KZbin video tells you what you need to practice. Of course it takes fortitude and such to learn things, as is for every craft, but don’t feel like the craft belongs to you just because you’ve spent some time in it. You’re just setting yourself up for future disappointment when you realize you won’t be able to keep up with somebody’s improvement, or when a newer person begins closing the gap in skill. My advice; be humble. You can learn it from anywhere, so don’t feel too special, because you really aren’t. Don’t get it twisted, I’m not hating or anything, I just see that it seems like you’re either afraid that if people are really able to learn from a KZbin video, or able to pick up the craft faster than you could, you won’t have anything special left. And the truth is, you won’t. These skills aren’t special. Anyone can learn them with hard work and dedication, so it’s a bad idea to parade them around by saying “my craft.” Good luck tho, I hope you continue to hone your craft.

Flips are more free-running but a Kong pre is useful as a kong/monkey vault can provide you forward momentum whilst maintaining the speed you were running at especially if object is to wide to do a speed vault or a lazy or reverse etc. 🤸
@onreact6 жыл бұрын
Yeah, the monkey or kong is useful but combining it with a precision landing on top of an obstacle is not a realistic move in a real life chase/escape.

Thank you! It's also worth remembering that the chased has some advantage over the chaser. The chaser follows the path chosen by the chased and can be often caught in a vulnerable position with hands occupied during climb ups. It's when the chased can kick them in the face or step on their fingers. Ouch! Probably bad idea with multiple chasers...
