Nice list! Lately I've taken to carrying a Alox Bantam in my Cache Cap. I find I like the larger blade as opposed to the Alox SD. For pocket carry I often carry the Alox Pioneer X, I can't seem to do without scissors!

Great topic! Here's my take: there are four unique tools between the Pioneer X and Swiss Army 7 - the scissors and can opener on the Pioneer X, and the saw and hawkbill blade on the Swiss Army 7. In fact, these two knives comprise all of the currently available 93mm Alox tools except the electrician blade. There are a couple of 84mm Alox tools too (small file, combo tool) and a couple of discontinued 93mm Alox tools (marlin spike, technician screwdriver). But the Pioneer X and SA7 pretty much cover the gamut. There are only three common tools: Blade, awl and cap lifter. Personally, I don't need a saw for urban EDC. So I chose the Pioneer X for regular EDC and SA7 for outdoor fun. The Farmer X is a great all in one solution, but I find it unnecessary given my EDC needs and the fact that I own the other two. If I could change one thing, I would replace the awl on the Pioneer X with a small file from the Cadet (or maybe the Companion) since I already have the awl on the SA7 and I use a file more often than an awl. This would make six unique tools between the Pioneer X and SA7, and only two common tools.

Nice selection, have your 3 to 5 plus alox mini champ which is probably my most carried if I'm not planning on needing a bigger tool. Like the Phillips/cap lifter tool and the extra tools are a bonus, secondary blade etc, but if they msde an alox Ramber...

I need to get the Alox minichamp - probably a second hand one. You are not the only person who has said that about the Alox Rambler. The Midnite Manager is my every day carry (with the classic SD used if there is a risk of getting it wet...). I will be trying out the Jetsetter when I fly in a couple of weeks' time....

@MB_EDC looked at the jet setter a few times. Interestingly I work "airside" at a UK airport and have been told by security that an SD would be allowed on in hand luggage, not sure I'd want to try though.

Thanks. Regarding the Bantam. One reason is I don't have the Cadet. The main reason is I really like the slim form of the Bantam. The combination tool works really well and I will always have my Midnite Manager or Jetsetter with me. I have carried the Bantam in my wallet - it is so slim....
