Hi Star. I'm from South Africa. Our family eat from our fridges rather than our pantries. Got good advice from a dietician years ago. Eat veg or salad with protein OR carbs with veg or salad. NEVER MIX PROTEIN AND CARBS. 2nd bit of advice is NEVER have sweet meals incl fruit for breakfast. Always savory. You can swap your bfast and lunch if you have sweet stuff for bfast. That’s why I never really followed food coupon deals cause of how unhealthy the foods are! Love getting more ideas on savings for healthier options. I’m soon to be a family of 5 so savings and healthy is a must 😅

Look at the local butcher shops. Check out their sales day. Usually they have higher quality of the meat than grocery stores but also they have great sales if you catch them. The cheapest is buying a side of beef which is perfect if you have the freezer space. Some meat shops have lockers where you can store the meat if you have freezer space issues. An alternative. I watch other KZbinrs that do cheap groceries hauls and show you ways to save I love frugal fit mom I also price compare my local grocery stores and only get my sale items and best deals also if your really tight dollar general does 5 off 25 every Saturday and don’t forget dollar tree

Good video, I would only add that I really advocate anyone buying in bulk learn some basic food preservation techniques, especially if you do not have lots of people to feed. Food fatigue from eating the same thing all the time really is no fun.

I have a Kroger affiliate so I shop at Kroger on Fridays to get 4x fuel pts. Because of this I don't need a costco membership to save on gas. But since I buy rice at Costco, I bug a friend about once a year to go shop with them. Once I got 5 bags of 25lbs rice and people looked at me weird lol. 5 bags lasted me about 1.5 year so my friend wouldn't get annoyed next time I need their help

I’m not because I usually have a running overage because I try to shop under each week and I use that excess in weeks where I stock up. With cash, I hold on to the extra money. But if I was, I’d pull whatever extra I spent from another week or 2 since I should be able to be under with the extra meat already purchased
