Ladies, if the relationship/courtship causes your relationship with the Lord suffer or decrease in any capacity, he’s simply not fit to lead you. In marriage, scripture says a man should water his wife with the word. If you have to initiate Bible readings, devotions, worship praise time, prayers; you essentially are the spiritual leader. Pray for the right one that’s fit for you. 🙏🏻💕

Oh you said a mouthful. Wow the truth. My last relationship I was always initiating the Bible reading and prayer etc and he still wouldn't follow through with it but claim he's a devout Christian and grew up Catholic and blah blah blah

@@tory198511 Same here sister! I was always the spiritual leader. If a man is not living a life in constant pursuit of the Lord, he’s not someone I would be equally yoked with. I stick to the 3 P’s. He must Profess, Protect and Provide. Also lead. If he’s looking for an independent woman, he’s not for me, as that’s the opposite of what the Lord calls us to be. If he’s unwilling to wait until marriage for sex, he’s not even a baby in his walk with Christ and it usually helps weed out a bunch. His plans and timing are perfect. I don’t want it if it’s not from Him. We must remember any relationship is meant to make us more like Christ. So He often will put us with someone that requires us to be more patient, loving, forgiving, graceful and merciful. All things Christ is. Love and blessings sister! 💕💜🙏🏻

I’m just going to say this for women…you rob yourself of feeling like a discovered jewel if you chase a man. I firmly believe it helps with our ability to submit to a man if we believe that he chose us…kind of like what how God said that we love him because he first loved us. Based on the trends of the current dating environment, I don’t think it’s in a woman’s best interest to try to get a man to do anything…she’ll be shouldering that responsibility for the rest of her life and that will take it’s toll.

He who finds a wife finds a good thing. The Bible also said it wasn't good for man to be alone. Man was here first and the woman was added as a helpmate. We are the prize. Women need to let their man lead and just like Mark said you'll be able to tell if he is the type of godly man that can lead you if you get to know him before you allow him to pursue u.

I am basically Orthodox now but it is encouraging to see someone from a tradition I gave up on come to some real and beautiful truth on these vital matters. God bless you may many women step into true faith and walk this way encouraged that they will not be ashamed if they choose wisdom and faith over fear. Bless your viewers may they move into beautiful loving homes with men who truly love them and may character shine out as their greatest beauty for when we are loved for our character our beauty becomes a gift and we never feel used but instead we feel treasured. Go girls take these words to heart meditate on them and walk differently to the ways of the world and the enemy and receive the gifts God has for you in his divine order. Bless you Sir hold fast to your integrity and faith in the word of God and the heart you have received on this matter (have a read of Saint John Chrysostoms words on love and marriage for the encouragement of your good soul!). Thank you very much for your video content speaking to people who need it most with the truth that really does have the power to save I can’t bless you enough !

This series is excellent. So many of us have no idea of how to conduct ourselves in a relationship or pursue a relationship and we often follow the advice of misguided individuals. Mark tactfully dissects the book of Ruth. My current relationship reflects many of the characteristics seen in the dynamics between Ruth & Boas in chapter 3. I made mistakes when I was younger because I both lacked guidance and was misguided. It’s wonderful to see how God’s word provides us with the best relationship advice available.

Would you consider making a video going into detail about the differences between a masculine and feminine spirit? Like what each spirit looks like when in action? Because I think a lot of people don't truly know how to tell the difference and while I have a good idea myself I definitely would be interested in learning more about what makes masculinity masculine and femininity feminine.

Thank you Bro. Mark. Laying at the man's feet is similarly to laying at Christ's feet. Both submit to each other, as both submit and answer to God. Biblical masculinity + Biblical femininity = Blessed union I believe that people don't understand God's Word, and overarch is because of their double-mindedness, and unwilling to let go of pride and let God.

Hey Mark, I am wondering your thoughts of this? I asked the Lord why I was hesitant on approaching a pretty girl at church and He led me to 1 Timothy 2:9. She dresses extravagant; over the top dresses, hair done up, jewelry, and makeup. Pretty girl just such a turn off because I am not on that level financially or in my own dress/style. She gave me choosing signals but next day when I didn’t approach her she just looked so mad. Seems like God really helped me out and saved me from a women who needs validation from men to feel pretty/content with herself. Righteous judgement

I hope it's not inappropriate to ask this question, but I could use some wisdom. When is it time to give up hope of marriage? I know that our best hope is in God, not marriage, and I don't mean to simply give up hope. What I mean is... when is it time to give up hope of ever being married? It's a long story, but I'm not looking to meet a new person, and I definitely believe in "the one." I've just really been losing heart for a while now. Thank you if you can help me. I can accept an honest answer, even if it's not what I am hoping to hear.
@RM-qq5rj
@RM-qq5rj 2 жыл бұрын
I don't have a hard and fast good rule for you, but I know in my situation when I gave up hope and wasn't looking at all and had pretty much rejected men and marriage altogether (didn't even consider it an option anymore) because it'd been so long past my goals of getting married and having children, that's when it happened for me that He brought us together, and it happened really fast. First God dealt with my rejection of men and marriage, that I was wrong to have that specific attitude (I was doing it to protect myself at that point because I was so angry I didn't get what I'd hoped for all my life), and once I released that and repented and changed my attitude toward it to admit I did still want to be married and have a family then it all just fell into place really quickly, within a year to a year and a half. So spend a lot of time in prayer and the Bible and ask God to show you any areas you are in disobedience or have the wrong heart state/attitude about things. When I let go of my expectations and truly gave it over to God, that's when things changed for me.

Why would you ever give up hope of marriage? Unless you’re dead, there is always a possibility of marriage for you. My personal advice is to not just “hope” for marriage but simply enjoy each day of your life and KNOW God will lead you to your marriage with perfect timing.

Slightly off topic question: why is the story of Ruth made it seem like this was completely her choice? I always hear "choose a man like Ruth chose Boaz" However, it was the LAW at the time for Ruth to go and try to marry Boaz. It doesn't seem like this relationship was a choice at all. But instead, Ruth was listening to her MIL and following the law to marry Boaz after her husband died. This isn't supposed to be hateful, I am genuinely curious as a Christian woman. This story has never made sense to me.
@carriefawcett9990
@carriefawcett9990 Жыл бұрын
It's interesting that you mention how Boaz was aware that Ruth was only showing interest in HIM and not other men. I think this is extremely important when attracting and finding a partner. I myself, find it an EXTREME turn-off when I'm attracted to a man, and he seems very interested in me and then I find out he's behaving exactly the same way towards other women. This little piece you mention in the bible is so crucial for both sexes, any gender, any orientation. If you are interested in someone, attempt to build a careful connection with them as the focus, and DON'T flirt, ask-out, and build connections with others at the same time. I can't think of a bigger turn-off when initially meeting a potential love interest. It creates disappointment, and im not cool with it although a lot of people are, especially npw with all this online dating crap. Im not on any of those. Another point I want to make is that it is entirely possible to be both a modern sassy woman with opinions on things, but ALSO a humble, soft, spiritual lady who is gentle in her approach with showing interest in a particular man. Those traits are not mutually exclusive. I am a strong, independent, feminist ( yesi said it, liberal not radical!) yet spiritual woman, who a lot of the times likes to be soft, fragile and careful and humble. I won't use the word submissive, as it isn't right in this day and age. But i definitely am not one for "leading" id rather follow.. i wont "wear the pants" in a relationship either. I like to walk side by side with my man. I find your vids very interesting and and you have a way of keeping me enthralled despite the fact I do not identify as a "Christian Woman". I still can't stop watching your videos for some reason..I think you teach your interpretation of the bible with a lot of class and tact. Well done.

Exactly. The right one will cause you to grow deeper with the LORD. And will lead you Into that...not away from that! And the more you grow in CHRIST, the smaller the list of potential spouses will b-come. A true daughter of the LORD will seek the one that causes her to grow in godliness, and faith. Which is why Isaiah 4:1 is so accurate now. A man or woman Must love the LORD above all things First.... not second. Why would I want a husband who does not lead me in faith? i dont want 2 lead him, that is not my role.. I am supposed tonfollow HIM 1st.. then the one HE has 4 me will.pursue me. i tried pursuing B4, and it didnt work out. So the LORD will lead him to me...and then I will follow him. Just as Jacob pursued the one the LORD wanted 4 him. of course, he was a bit surprised at ehat he got...😂 Just as Isaac went to get Rebecca.

Thank you for eveything youve helped me realise, the only comment i have is at the end with not nitpicking how he leads, if you are in what you think is the friendship stage of courting - often it is used as a vague stage where a man will take no responsibility if he suddenly decides he does not want to pursue anymore or someone else comes along and when the woman would go back and say 'i thought you were pursuing me what happenned' they may say they were 'always just friends'. During that stage, the woman would often feel like she wishes he was clear on whether he was pursuing by pursuing her in a clearly romantic way instead of a friendship, but would not ask because she feels that is seen as telling him how to pursue. You probably didn't mean to encourage this scenario, just wanted to ask maybe a video on how to tell if its a friendship or a friendship to pursue??

I think the root of a woman, smart or otherwise, to submit is her own peace. Ruth’s peace (and humility) was born out of loss. All Boaz had to do was be respectful (he already had the power) which is also peace-born (including peace within his identity). Peace is the position of convergence. To LAY DOWN your anxiety, on both sides, in maturity and godliness.

Thank you for sharing this great video 🙏 I reflected and assessed myself and I realized that I was a masculine woman. 🥲 This is now my first step to change what needs to be change. (You're helping us a lot, God bless you!) 💛 I'm praying for a strong godly man to spend my life with by His grace and His perfect timing! 🙌

Coming back a year later and while being in a dating relationship long distance. Point two is crucial for me right now! Naturally, I am very initiative, combine it with the feelings of missing a person, him naturally being more laid back, to me it is not easy to find balance in helping him pursue me and me being patient with his processes... Do you have any thoughts on how to not get frustrated by him being slower and "less passionate" yet helping him not fall into passivity? Hope to hear from you. In the meantime, I am going to search through your content. :D Thanks so much for everything you do!

Great content as always. Perhaps the videos can be shorter, under 10 minutes? There's also repitions which can be avoided to have the video done in lesser minutes. Longer the video, it's easy to be distracted. Otherwise, thanks for helpful tips. :)

I don't think people these days what it means to be a "strong man" and a "strong woman". Somehow, it seems that being a strong woman is mixed with masculine traits, such as being bossy, muscular etc. In general things that are considered traditional masculinity. In the same way, I feel the idea of a strong man has also been twisted. Being a strong man doesn't mean demanding obedience from others or having a submissive wife. I believe a strong woman is confident within herself as a woman without the need to compare herself to a man or manly traits. Being a woman is a blessing. Female qualities and embracing them give a woman strength. May God give wisdom to each woman to embrace their womanhood and use them to glorify Him. Similarly, being a man is a blessing and a call to be a bright light in God's kingdom. A strong man has his foundation in God and seeks His guidance. A strong man does not need validation from anyone because he has God.

Hey Mark I'm finding there's not many options at church for a wife. I'm not sure if I need to go looking elsewhere or wait for God to do somthing? Cheers.

Respectfully, please do not assume that modern women are not aware of a man’s needs. Most of us know not to chase men, to avoid emasculating them, and to encourage them to be their best selves. I clicked on this video because… I’m not completely sure if a certain someone likes me. Plus, it’s a professional setting so, I must be extra careful. Thanks🌬️🕊️.

As a guy I wish women would be more proactive in this process, not the pursuit, but by signaling they invite pursuit. In the past history women would do things to encourage a conversation. This might be dropping a handkercheif or other bobble infront of a guy they like which the man will pickup and return, or fumbling a bag of groceries inviting assistance, asking for directions, etc. All of these things create the space necessary for a conversation and introduction to take place. Men do not like cold approaches because it feels awkward. Walking up to a woman and introducing yourself is like holding a sign that reads to some degree "I find you attractive enough to eventually sleep with given the right circumstances" and that's a very awkward thing to lead with even if we intend to do it all biblically this attraction is still communicated!!! Us men NEED you ladies to provide an opening that allows us to approach for a different reason AND THATS why we dont approach we need an opening that isn't "me man, me like beautiful woman". We want to open doors for you, return your lost items, and use opportunities to assist you. These are approlriate jumping off points.

I like this teaching but it’s important to note that a man pursuing you and chasing you are two separate things….for example if you’ve been on one outing together, let him know how great of a time you had and you’d love to get together again. from that moment he has the invitation & has a window of opportunity to schedule the next date with you. If he is chasing, he is simply going after something that isn’t reciprocating. I think it should be the women’s idea for the couple to get together and her contacting the man gives him an opportunity to continue to schedule the next dates and times to get together. I can guarantee most ladies don’t feel the polarity and attraction to a guy who’s constantly contacting you and telling you how much he likes you and wants to get together. A simple “hey how are you” sent to a guy let’s him know you are ready to get together and you want him to set the next date. That’s allowing a guy to pursue you without him feeling like he’s chasing you.
