Thanks again, for your comments. Its great to get feedback that the videos are helpful to viewers. Let me know if there any other areas of plating that would be on interest, and maybe I can do a video next year.

I don't plan on working in a kitchen anytime soon but I definitely enjoy cooking so I enjoyed this video.

Yeah, I’m definitely a home cook too and always underestimated the importance of the visuals of food! Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment 👍

I have watched a few of your videos. They are very beautiful and interesting. But I feel like I am not far enough down the line to really get what the most out of it. I am way to beginner :D I hope I will join later again and can appreciate your vids even more.

Thank you for watching some of my videos, and don’t worry if you are new, everyone starts somewhere. I think the sooner you can consider the visual side of food in your recipes the better you’ll get. Good luck 🙌

Thank you. I think for someone of my level (and perhaps this is similar to others in your audience), it would be nice to see not just components of plating, but how one does it for a dinner party in a normal kitchen. One of the biggest problem areas is keeping things at the right temperature while building a plate, and then serving it. Also, the timing. If I'm doing three courses, how do I bring it all together, including the plating. Sure, one can show how to cook, like many channels, but the reality of putting it altogether is often missing. Including, best approach to clearing, cleaning between courses. I know confidence in the recipes, and practice plays a role. I also know in many cases to not overload a plate. But...but there are times when you want to do something nice, but ensure your guest/s are also well fed.

That’s actually a really good idea I’d not thought of before….to tailor plating design and presentation for home cooks / dinner parties. I’ll be putting my thinking cap on for this. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. Always great to get suggestions, it’s super helpful 🙌

@@diningfables To my knowledge, nobody does that. I'm not slating any chefs, or cooks. I love many of the videos very talented people put up. But bringing it all together in a real setting is challenging. I made a dinner tonight - it looks very pretty in the pics I took...But...but...I know the sauce was not great. The glazed shallots, put in the oven at a guess for the roast potatoes, and carrots/plus parsnips (all at differnt entry points) were okayish, but not great. For those of us who have never worked in a kitchen, and don't have heat lamps, or speed of delivery, some pointers in building, and presenting (while keeping guests happy - and not thining 'this could be warmer' etc) would be ace. Thank you for answering.

What I always do is break down dishes I get or see with color and drawings to then understand what the other chef might have thought about with his plate. And then as he said sorund yourself with the people u wanna be😁😁
