You should have mentioned that trip planning for the upper portion of the Lost Coast is complicated because you have to plan your trek through the impassable zones at low tide. If you see days that still have lots of slots open, it might be because the timing of low tides are best in the middle of the night. Winter can be difficult if not treacherous when winter storms swell the creeks that must be crossed. Hope you have good luck in January!!

What a small world, I think we met while you were hiking up in the Angeles national Forest. I believe it was round top Road just off the path from Mount Pacifico/PCT trail. It was really windy and I think your shoes were falling apart and I might’ve offered you some tape for them. I was in a white truck and I think I caught you off guard because you said you weren’t expecting to see anyone up there. Happy travels!

Haha, crazy but this is the second time in a week I have been confused for someone else! I guess I have more doppelgangers out there than I thought! Hope I do run into you sometime for real :)

Thank you! I’ve been thinking about wanting to plan a trip soon and definitely plan to try one of these options! Which one would you be most comfortable as a girl solo?

Ooh I hope you have a lot of fun! I would say Sespe is my favorite, but Point Reyes or Joshua Tree will probably be the best in case something goes wrong!
