Have to agree with you on the first couple of points. I am fine with Anime being put on cars, but I get a little cringe when people start acting like Ollie Londons doing so. Never understood why my Japanese culture is hella commercialized or seen as a trend in general today. Yeah it's cool, but to see Japanese written on every "underground" designer pieces of clothing or people tryna create/live out a fake nostalgia is cringe/borderline weird.

It always depends on the car the use and other aero (only a huge wing in the back will generate more downforce but too a point because the added downforce will compress the rear suspension and will start too capture more air underneath the car decreasing the overall downforce soo good luck in the next fast corner oh and in extreme cases it is a ticket for a take off (fun fact the tail wing in airplanes generates downforce by default to counteract the center of mass in front of the center of lift)

The ductails or lips are model specific for me and need to be used in a way that makes sense; a dodge viper would be sick with a slightly higher ductail following the body line of the original one, and i would add a small lip to the front bumper and side skirts to compliment it, all body coloured for a sporty but still street look, maybe a Hennesey GTS style wing instead of the ductail since it's not "racing hardware" and it keeps the car themed. With a medium wing i'd want a splitter or cannards, in case of the viper i'd go with a round splitter that follows the shape of the bumper a bit ahead. And for a big wing i'd want ground effects with a diffuser along with both a splitter and cannards. It's my way of "balancing" the look of the car

Lol But still, there's a huge difference between "I like this character, I'm gonna rep them everywhere and buy their merch," and "this character is literally my wife! I will only fap to her and none other! I must sleep with my daki of her or I cannot sleep! I have a literal shrine to her!" Like calm down son. Enjoy what you want to enjoy, but they're still not real and won't love you even if they were. And tbf I still find dakis to be creepy, especially the lewd ones, tho I do get the appeal of wanting to snuggle something when you sleep.

I get a lot of crap for driving a BMW 228i because they say its not a "true" bmw ie its front wheel drive and even the xDrive is front wheel biased. It is also based on a mini as well and doesn't have that true 50/50 weight the bmw's are known for but I really don't care I love my car. I came from driving 3 different hatchback corolla's so its by far the most fun car I have ever owned. It may not be an m2 but I love what I have.

Personally, I do think massive spoilers should stay off of certain cars. However, there are some contexts where it works quite well. Especially integrated wings like on the Senna. Active aero spoilers are quite nice. I do agree with you on massive aftermarket ones though because it can very easily ruin the look. iT's the reason I prefer the Z06 to the ZR1

I think the mark of a true enthusiast, like Bladed, is seeing something done to a car (like a big wing) and recognizing that that it may not be what they have one to said car and maybe you dont like it, but it's what they have done to their car and it's what makes them happy, although you might not like it. I hate it when people say decals and vinyls are imitating race car stuff and joke about +50hp per sticker. FFS race cars are hideous, those poorly matching decals all over the car ruin the whole look. Liveries on street cars can actually be very tasteful and good looking.

As someone who grew up watching anime (including non-shonen shitshows), having watched degenerate shit like Strike Witches in 4th or 5th grade, and even once embraced the waifu culture (not anymore) to the point where it becomes pathetic, it's still cringey for me. Honestly, all the mods I need are in the engine, computer, brakes and exhaust. My 335i looks bone stock (other than M style wheels, swapping halogen lights to LED and debadged the 335i badge). No stickers, no body work, no decals. Interiors are stock too (I might retrofit an android screen). If I were to do a wrap, I’d wrap it nardo grey. That’s it. My car is a stock-looking BMW that packs a punch with its modifications

For me with numbers 1 and 3, it depends entirely on the car. I agree with you on Corvettes having minimalist interiors, but I’d also expect a 50s or 60s Cadillac to have plush firm leather and genuine piano wood on the interior. Same with big wings on Mustangs and Corvettes, but something like a Lotus Exige S2 looks miles better with a huge ass wing and super aggressive front and rear splitters on it, and I’ve seen them both with and without

I think a lot of the issues with car mods (especially anime stuff) is that EVERYTHING is highly commercialized these days, and people have been essentially brainwashed over time (especially younger enthusiasts where it's all they've ever known) to have a consumer mindset of just wanting MORE, more stickers, bigger wings, more expensive stuff becaus "more expensive means better right?" No, no it doesn't.
