Just had this issue happen with more alarms than just the parking brake. Charged the battery and everything was back to normal.

Test or replace your battery.When my battery was bad, I got all of the brake problem errors. I replaced the battery, drove it for a while, and codes went away. 2016 Honda Civic

I have the same problem with my car. I changed the light bulb, and the problem surfaced. Now my car won't start.. it's 3018 Honda civic hatchback ex, I never changed the battery. Do you think it's the battery?

@6ixk616 mine was i remove the ebrake clip n the pin inside bent so didnt make good contact when clipped back. i align it straight again clip the ebrake wire smoothly n worked

Mine does this too.. Only use parking brake when I’m gonna turn my car off now… You just have to push down on the electric brake when you start your car for it to turn off otherwise it’ll just beep at you the whole time you’re driving 🙃🙃🙃

I also had this problem & it turned out my battery was about to die. Battery was dead the next day. Replaced it & the problem went away. Apparently this can happen if your battery is about to go.

Hello. Lightning struck close to my car while driving. 2021 civic sport hatchback. Now it says electric parkong brake problem and then it says brake syatem problem, then it says brake hold system problem. I can hear the motor workds wheb trying the parking break. Is there something I can do to reset this?

Yes. Turn off your car then turn it on. Then put your foot on the break then push down on the parking break for about 30 seconds. It should go away.

So I had a older Van one time. One day I was driving it I noticed it was hard to stop give it 24 hours I woke up to go to work in the morning headed out my drive way down a hill and completely loss brakes never before have I ever had problems with my brakes but that one day in advance. We'll in the process's I press my e brake in the floor and it by no means slowed me down it more of slingshotted me. My question is this a brakes malfunction or could it be possible someone tampered with my brakes.

This happened when my battery was too old. Replaced the battery and it worked. If it still doesn't work just reset it.
