I recently went to to specialist for my knee and not one of them did a physical examination they relied on CT scans one of them and the other and relied on MRI with completely different outcomes. But when I did the exercises that you had shown him I was gobsmacked the pain has gone. It was easier for the doctor to administer drugs and shut me up then to fix the issue. I, like many others, am grateful for these really helpful and uplifting videos. Even your mood is pleasant and reassuring. I have had knee arthritis, doctors tell me, for about 10 years. Although painful, there is no swelling or stiffness. Rather, it is the opposite. The joint is as if too loose, with not enough capacity to hold weight and control motion. Would you be able to shed some light on this kind of condition? I would really like to hear your opinion. Thank you again for the inspiring videos.

Hello enjoyed the video, from what I gathered I may have a meniscus problem. I have slight pain on the inner knee joint and stiffness and aching in the ankle. I have a feeling it’s from constant rotation left to right due to disc golf. It also feels like the shin bone is slightly out of alignment. It sure- after doing maybe 45 seconds of running all of a sudden about 14 months ago my knee started hurting, stiff after sitting, difficult to bend all the way due to being stiff and soreness. Seemed to get better over winter testing but now back where it was- and the sharper pain is on the inside of the knee, no popping, stiff in morning or after sitting when bent, hurts to walk but first 20 steps or so then it’s fine. Except when I walk my dogs- hurts on inside about 1/2 mile into 1 mile walk and comes and goes. Silly but I’ll look at the other videos - and thanks for any insight.

I have only just found your very helpful videos. I have arthritis in both knees, and a baker’s cyst in the left. Had much pain walking, it’s also painful to bend past 45 degrees. There is cramping as well, and a feeling of swelling in my ankles, although they don’t look swollen. I did some of the toe exercises last night. What will remove the baker’s cyst? Thanks for the great videos!

I am a 53-year-old female diagnosed in my thirties with patellar tilt having some effect on the cartilage. At that time I was told that there was some arthritis in my left knee under the knee cap. Ihave been doing physical therapy exercises for this fairly consistently since. Intermittently I've had sharp pain medial right knee. It would come and go and I would notice it when bearing weight to walk. Would last for short time and resolve on its own. It has returned but now I will get the pain at times when I straighten my leg and it can hurt me at night which it has never done. There is no swelling. This has been going on for 3 days now. Looking for some direction since I know it will take time to see a specialist.

Hi, I have been diagnosed with mild to moderate arthritis. My problem is inner knee pain accompanied by leg ache up my groin and numbness in the lower part of my leg. I have no swelling but after standing for awhile my legs get tired and feel as if they are electrically charged? "What do you reckon ". Thanks Adrian UK

Thanks for such an informative video. I am 75 years old female and was advised knee surgery in both knees when I was 55 years old. I changed my life style and was able to handle my problem all these years. There were episodes of sudden flare up and had to take time off from work for weeks to get back to normal. I believe I had the fifth kind of pain . For the last one month I am having severe pain in getting up in the morning and putting pressure after sitting for a while , stiffness is so bad ,I can not dare to go up or down . Please do advise how to increase my mobility.

hi, for the past few months I got these slight pain on inside of my left knee when walking up/down stairs and pressing on the clutch (manual car), the pain is very minor and bearable, no swelling, no redness. But no pain when running up or down hill. fyi I have been running Marathon, mainly 21km for the last 12 years, i am 63years male. What are the causes of this pain and what supplements should I take, I do take glucosamine, egg shell membrane,etc...
@epmanualphysicaltherapy2 жыл бұрын
Hey BK, sorry you've been dealing with pain on the inside of your left knee :-( Based on when you feel the pain, it sounds most like a tibial shift. It could also be a minor meniscus injury or the beginnings of knee osteoarthritis. There are many, many causes. You're best next step is to learn about each problem so you can best determine what it is and what to do about it. Here are some videos that will help you with that: Tibial shift: “How To Fix Inner Knee Pain In 2 Minutes” kzbin.info/www/bejne/oXevnohqj62MjJY "Knee Meniscus Help" kzbin.info/aero/PLJVIPiFvv1mZ9Vh4eRH3UlmMeqOUtB-6a “Knee Arthritis Pain Help” kzbin.info/aero/PLJVIPiFvv1maa9YF-WmKLF7oI4VoczH8i

I recently had a weird knee injury that I think may be overlap between bursitis and patellar tendonopathy. I am very active with weightlifting and running, and I think the tondonopthy developed over time, but something happened right after light exercise that was a couple pops and stiffening of the knee Followed by pain later that day. The other knee also became painful and stiff in the same way but without the popping feeling. The first few days I could barely walk then the stiffness subsided but pin was still there. Since then it has gotten gradually better. About a week before this happened I noticed a little bubble where the patella tendon attaches to the shin bone. didn’t know what it was but I believe it was bursitis.

Great video... thank you. I believe I have a combination of issues but I have a question. I had an MRI of my right knee a few months ago and they said it was voided areas and arthritis... so I guess there was no notable meniscus damage or MCL Damage to be alarmed. However I often have pain (just as you described...stiffness in morning etc) at the inside joint of the right knee. Can this still be possible MCL issue combined with arthritis???
@epmanualphysicaltherapy2 жыл бұрын
Hey RueFitness, it might be arthritis - really depends on your age. If you're over 50, then there is more of a chance that you're getting problems related to arthritis. If you're younger than 50, then it's more likely a meniscus problem. It might also be related to a tibial shift and/or an MCL problem. In case you need it, here is a playlist of all our inner knee pain videos so you can learn more about what might be the reason for your problem: "Inner Knee Pain Help" kzbin.info/aero/PLJVIPiFvv1ma8eg9DwBsl5IRgnLdKCcHs

Not sure what my inner knee pain is. I haven't been in a sports or Auto accident. I do have a physical job though that could have Repetitive motion. I haven't noticed any swelling but possibly not paying close enough attention. Haven't heard any popping or cracking. It does hurt when I do stairs. That's what O notice the most. I don't have any knee locking. What do you think?

Doc, if you suspected septic arthritis and the infection had been treated, would any damage caused to the tendons ligaments or cartilage eventually heal? I have a lingering pain in the large...tendon? on the inside back of my thigh where it connects to the knee--feels strained. Also, I tried kneeling with bottom of feet facing up, toes pointing straight back, lowering my butt to my heels (as in yoga child's pose)....heard a very loud POP and had some relief from the awkward feeling. Been in a brace since Feb 9.
@epmanualphysicaltherapy2 жыл бұрын
Hey keats27, sorry to hear about your septic arthritis and subsequent knee pain. The damage should scar and heal eventually, but it's hard to say it it will be like normal again. We're glad you got relief from the pop when you kneeled. Take your time with healing, for septic arthritis it will probably go much slower than you want it to.

Can an MRI help determine the specific problem?
@epmanualphysicaltherapy2 жыл бұрын
Hey LaMountain Marketing Communications LLC, it may help but there is also a chance that it could miss the problem. The best is when a good physical examination can be matched with an MRI. The physical examination would have to be thorough.

I have nuns knee or prepatellar bursitis, what kind of exercise should I perform to make my muscles,tendon & ligament stay strong around my right knee? Thank you sir.
@epmanualphysicaltherapy2 жыл бұрын
Hey Ferdinand, great question! Sorry you're dealing with prepatellar bursitis :-( If you're doing a bunch of kneeling, then you've got to back off on that so that you can take pressure off the bursa. That would be your first priority. The next priority would be to internally reduce pressure to the area by addressing any muscle imbalances. The common muscle imbalance that sets up prepatellar bursitis is having over-dominant quads and weak glutes. The quads will add too much pressure to the knee joint and then it's just a matter of what becomes injured first. Sometimes it's the cartilage, the meniscus, an ACL...and in less common situations it's the bursa. You should be working through a progression of glute strengthening while paying attention to not strengthen the quads. Our 28 Day Knee Health & Wellness Boost Program would be perfect for you to get stronger muscles, tendons and ligaments in your right knee. Here's a link to learn more about the program. www.epmanualphysicaltherapy.com/knee-health

Thank you so much for these videos. I am suffering with inner knee pain on both knees - it is identical. I used to run but no longer can, I suffer after walks. I cycle and that seems fine. I lift weights 3-5 times a week and have started to really focus on Glutes thinking that might help, still the pain persists. I am bole-legged a condition that has seemed to get worse with each of my pregnancies (4). I am 47 years old. I am very frustrated by this situation. I have tried adjusting my diet to reduce inflammation, still no progress.

Great! I think I might need to go in and checked out. I have RA and lupus in my 50’s plus I’m a personal trainer. I’m still weight lifting but weighted squats kill my inner knees when I do more than 6 sets. I have pretty good ROM but my knees have always been noisy but most of the time don’t bother me too much. Just when I try to move up in sets like 6 sets of 6-8 weighted reps., frustrating. Both knees swelled up overnight so this morning sucked to walk without medial pain. Stretching helps a little but soon as I’m resting I’m back to walking like an old lady😢

i have no idea what's wrong with my right knee. the cap seems to move a lot more freely than my left one, and it has dislocated multiple times in my life (29 years). it's always bothered me off and on but recently it's started hurting a LOT more, I used to sit cross legged very comfortably and now it causes a lot of pain so the positions i can comfortably sit in are limited. it hurts the most when i'm driving so i often have to use my left foot to drive. it's the inner part that hurts so much, today as i was walking up a hill, pain shot down the side of my calf from my knee. I love hiking and this has never happened before. I'm trying pilates and foam rolling....wish me luck

I now just go DIRECTLY to PT if it's PT related. I skip the MD. Our insurance allows that. The PT evaluates, sets a plan and submits the plan. I find going directly means I get there quickly and need less time and visits at PT.

I have been riding my new motorcycle for last two years. I noticed that both of my knees on the inside I have nerve pain (where knee bends). I have no pain while walking of seating. But, surprisingly when I am in bed, i noticed that when I spread my knees outwards the pains starts. It appears to be a nerve or tendent or ligament pain. It is not in my cartraledge or joint. It is a strange pain. Would it be MCL or something related to motorycyle riders. What should I do? thanks for all your videos.

Hey dickydesai, this is unique. It sound like you have a saphenous nerve problem though.
