If you think about what your body must do to move, whether to start walking, running or jumping. The very first movement is to bend at your knees and put your weight on to the balls of your feet. Try it....thinking of what is happening at you start to take a step. Slowly as you start to move STOP! What just happen? Is your non-dominant knee slightly bent? Now, slowly continue slightly more. Are you moving to the ball of that foot? Continued andyour dominant foot move forward and the whole process starts over. If your get into this habit of staying on the balls your feet you now have cut a fraction of a second off your reaction time making you faster. Watch some to the pros and you see some of them bouncing on the balls of their feet.... That fraction of a second can ready improve your game. That's what she is talking about!!
