Shane why not use chi na breaks when grab its a quick simple twist puts u in control. The lean back is asking for a mantis style lure kick and side kick to knee. I get if you don't want to be responsible for telling people to break and maim limb. Even the blitz is 1 quick block grab yank of balance n break arm trap knee rip throat. The jab was awesome though u side step that crap punch the carotid mass. Just question, from my real experience in staying alive.

I'm 25 and today I got involved on my first real fight. Just about a hour ago. I'm still with a lot of adrenaline. I've watched this kind of videos before, because, you know, if something happens. But when it comes to reality... The other guy had experienced, so he was throwing punches and keep going forward, I was scared man, but yeah, i remembered some things, my face don't get hurt, and i hit him several times, but I was just ruining backwards so i fell and the idiot kick me hard, there I saw the opportunity and grabbed his leg, he fell too and then both were standing up again. He tried to keep throwing punches, and at that point I was really stressed, feeling overwhelmed, then cops arrive thanks god. Because in that point I didn't not what to do anymore. But, at the end I don't feel so bad, at least my face it's fine. Just got a few scratches on my knees and my butt hurts cause the kick. Even though I realized how important is to have some training, idk, at least know how to react. This experienced has motivated me to star doing exercise. For some reason even though I feel so stressed the rush of angry and adrenaline in that moment feel kind of good. Pd: Sorry for the spelling, English it's not my main language.

hey, just a tip for those of you who use the left arm to punch: aim for your opponent's stomach, towards the left side of their body, right under the ribcage. that is the spot where the liver is, and a single liver punch is enough to bring down most people, even if they are stronger than you. be mindful of your strength, however, since if you punch their liver too hard, you could rupture it to the point where they will need a transplant or they will die. i do this to end fights quickly

The most valuable thing I’ve learned from this video is to attack what’s exposed. When entering a street fight, most people forget everything they know about strategic fighting because of the adrenaline rush, nervousness and anxiety of your surroundings. So, what Shane presented is super important for a lot of people defending themselves from losing a street fight especially when you’re in a place surrounded by negativity, hatred and violence/fighting. (Obviously, the first thing to do when challenged a fight is to avoid it at all costs)

Best comment ever. There's a difference between fighting in a controlled environment like a dojo and fighting for your life in a bar or the subway. Long story short, fight dirty and try to end the fight as quickly as possible. Don't try to be Jackie Chan.

You should do a video on what to do in the end stages of a street fight. Like, if I get someone in an armbar, I don't want to break their arm, but I can't trust them to not sucker punch me when we get up. If I knock someone out or break their arm, do I just run away or call an ambulance? Stuff like that

Its crucial to know the laws regarding self defense in your area. Also be conscious of the level of threat someone can pose who you are guaranteed to be in contact with in the future; school mates, social circle associates, etc. A broken arm delivered is weeks of a guy planning how hes going to fuck you up when hes ready. Consider the long term social consequences and plan accordingly.

Agreed. Street fights should really be avoided at all costs. Dude could have a knife and panic once he realizes he's about to lose, you could hit him the wrong way and kill him (straight to jail), you could get hit the wrong way and die, you could be winning until his buddy swoops in and sucker punches you... too many things could go wrong. I'm not a pacifist or anything but street fights are dangerous for everyone involved.

@openview8463
@openview8463 5 жыл бұрын
Wrestling in fact does not help much in realistic unarmed self defense situations. Watch real-world videos of real self defense situations. Wrestling will not help much in brawls or in multiple-on-1 situations. These are very very common because REAL self defense situations are UNFAIR. Real self defense is about KOs, typically by punching and striking, next by lifting and piledriving, and third by soccer kicks to the head of a man on the ground. So it is in fact true that wrestling skills are NOT very important in real world self defense situations.
@Ckkuehl1
@Ckkuehl1 5 жыл бұрын
@@openview8463 but wrestling is is all part of lifting and piledriving, there are so many throws that I have used on people in real life encounters... Like he said in the video if someone is going to try a bad double leg or "try to drop you" Wrestlers have a great sprawl and can circle around and start applying pressure to the ribs and the back of the head... You are helping my point👌

When I was a kid, before Mixed Martial Arts was even born I took Shaolin Kung Fu for a few years and sparred a lot. Many years later in high school some guy I didn't even know came to fight me and he did the 4. Leg grab and I was never taught how to defend that. I am glad this video mentioned that. It's also interesting how when sparring it's more organized where each fighter is executing trained moves, but in street fights it's just random swinging and kicking totally out of control

@@cyraphwyssan5047 Couple of years ago I used to work as a bouncer to finance my education as a lawyer, weirdly. Even though nut kicks are theoretically effective, they are super hard to land. Why? To land a good nut kick the openent has to spread his legs a bit at least, and he has to be absolutely oblivious to the potential nut kick aswell. As a guy, I have a natural mechanism to completely close up my legs and turn left or right when anything is coming remotely close to my balls, and from what I saw from dozens of fights breaking out infront of the club I worked, most of males have the exact same reflex. Besides, good fighters usually don't fight in the street, if you are a bit bigger, hold out for 20 seconds, 9 out of 10 dudes will blow their whole load in that time and they will be exhausted and confused, following that it becomes very easy to neutralize them without actually hurting anybody, which was kind of the policy I worked under.
