Just got a pair of tecovas jackson square toe from their store, pretty amazing boot. The calfskin feels so great. The stores were scarily packed with people buying their boots. My color and size sold out at one store so I had to run to another store.

Great review of companies to watch in 2021. I wish that the boot companies would make more variety in women’s boots modelled after the men’s boots. I would also appreciate seeing the women’s boots with a greater variety of exotic skins/hides. That’s just my opinion because I know women who prefer the more classic styles as well as women who want a the more fashionable boot with the higher heels. 2021 will be an interesting year to watch and see what directions these companies take.

I’m gonna be giving Alvie’s some serious attention now that they came out with the EE width. They seem to be mostly J and snip toe,which are my preferences. I’m also gonna check more into JW boots. I really like Tecova,I have 3 pair,but the limited edition stuff gets old;just put the damn style in full production and be done with it. I will be looking into a couple of the brands you mentioned as well.

If you like Tecovas you should check out Allen’s Boots based in Austin. They are very similar and to the best of my knowledge they are made by the same people and factory as Mexican made Luchesse and they just started another brand called Azulado

You need to check out Texas Boot Ranch all boots $79.99 hand made in Mexico, quality stuff. Would make for a good review as well. My wife wears hers daily and they hold up, leather sole, leather stacked heel, the works.

Just got a pair of Tecovas Caiman for Christmas, and I'm going to exchange them. It turns out, after a close inspection, one of the vamps has a reddish tint rather than the dark brown like the other boot. Actually, the color of the vamp looks like black cherry. Also, one of the tiles had a pretty bad scuff, and it appears the boot maker attempted to cover it up. I've worn boots all my life and I have a good eye when it comes to quality boots so I'm not going to settle for obvious errors from the boot manufacture. Hopefully this pair of Tecovas are just an anomaly.

Man I don't know what it is but I can't find a Tecovas or Rujo that fits. I'm guessing they come from the same factory just by looking at them but I've gone through probably 4 boots each and had to return them all. I know my size with Justin, Ariat, Lucchese, Anderson Bean, etc. so I know it's not me! Kind of frustrating.

Hi I commented on a few of your videos before . I'm very new to wearing cowboy boots just bought a pair. Less then a week ago. I wanted cowboy boots for around 12 years but thought I'd look silly in them in from upstate NY. Then I finally said fuck it and got a pair of cowboy boots . no one in my family wears cowboy boots . but I don't care I like them and I'm planning on getting another pair my question is did you feel funny before getting your first pair of cowboy boots? Also I did not feel funny at all before I got the cowboy boots that I own now but 12 years ago when I first got interested in cowboy boots I felt funny that's what stopped me from getting them. Now that I have them in mad at myself for not getting them 12 years ago lol

Anderson Bean/Rios of Mercedes/ Olathe are all owned and manufactured by the same company they just have 3 different styles to them based on what you are wanting

I bought tecovas barn boots and they smelled like chemicals and I couldn't get my feet in them. I feel like they pretty much market and cater to hipsters. Chisos are incredible

Tecovas boots are nice but they are starting to get really hipster trendy kind of boots. I found that they have a showroom in Scottsdale and it was a little disheartening to see. It's all manufactured country looking shit and everybody there is over dressed. You would swear they were trying to sell you a jaguar.
