There is no way that could've made it to TV. Absolutely not. And I'm happy it didn't. I also go a little harsh on them for being too soft and unrealistic, but that was definitely not something you'd want to see in a TV show. On the TV, the governor should've died being eaten alive by walkers. It's painful, brutal and you can show it on TV without problems.

He had walkers running, holding teddy bears and using rocks to break windows. I'm pretty sure none of that happened in the comics. But like other people said, if HBO would've said yes to TWD who knows how much darker it would've been. With rape, nudity, and child murder all in GoT they surely would've done the same with TWD. Makes you wonder why they said no. I heard it was because they felt like the zombie genre was already too saturated.

I remember when I first saw how Michonne tortured the governor, I was cheering! Also you left out the part about how the Governor was attracted to the undead little girl named Penny that he kept. In the comic she was his niece and when he was recovering from his brutal torture he pulled all her teeth out with pliers and gave her a passionate kiss.

I don't really get why they kept Judeth in the show either, I guess maybe because she's a sort of symbol of hope and innocence, and the show is all about it's preachy messages now. They had their chance to write her out though when they found her bassinet covered in blood at the end of the prison battle. It would've just made more sense.

I mostly agree. Judith right now is only ever an afterthought at best and a burden at worst. She's always off camera in someone else's care while Rick is busy Ricking. She might as well not exist. However, there IS some potential, because there will inevitably be a time skip (Carl has grown an awful lot in the "two" years it's been since the zombie outbreak). It might be interesting to see a 4,5,6 year old Judith, to see how it is a for kid to grow up in the 'new normal'. Carl and Enid are young, but they have plenty of memories of how the world was. Judith will only know the world of zombies and rival factions.

Another thing about Thomas: while in the show Tomas was basically the new Dex and actively attempted to kill Rick (shit happens), in the comics while Dex certainly went overboard, that series of events began with him being falsely accused, making Comic Rick's actions a little more morally gray.

In comics, up until their death, Lori breastfed Judith. In show Daryl and the others raided stores. Most people are not gonna raid for baby supplies unless they actually have babies... plus if you know where they are the factories that make them may still have tons in boxes or on an assembly lines

I don’t know if someone has mentioned this or not but the actor that played Axel on the show revealed in a recent interview that they had planned for him to do similar terrible things that the character of Thomas did in the comics. The show was going to reveal that Axel’s backstory about drugs or whatever was false and he was going to later butcher and brutally kill Beth Greene and also heavily assault Carol. Obviously, the show runners changed their minds about this and didn’t take Axel in that dark direction and instead had him be the first sacrificial victim of the governors people attacking the prison, which resulted in him getting shot in the head out of nowhere after having a nice talk with Carol.

Carol in the comics makes a bit more sense that the Carol in the show. Don't get me wrong, the one in the show is really enjoyable, but I find it a bit hard to believe that such a badass was on her all along. I mean, I understand that the death of her daughter played a big role, bit I'd imagine she might've been even cooler if she was still alive. Imagine what TV Carol would do when she found out Comic Sophia got the shit kicked out of her in the hilltop.

Michonne has been one of my favorite characters since she arrived. I wasn't reading the comics when the show started so I loved that I knew nothing and everything was a new and a shock. Lori's death is also a big moment for me. I also compare them to GoT because GoT just let deaths and big moments happen. If you read the books, so be it, but at least they don't make a big deal out of big moments and just let them happen. I HATE how AMC will go on about departures or big moments, just let them happen! I think they should have kept Danai's departure under wraps. It will be a struggle to want to watch the show without so many of my favorite characters. I still like Daryl and Carol, but not as much as I loved Michonne and especially Rick. Rick was my favorite. If the actors want to leave, there's nothing we can do. It's sad, but oh well. I think the show has gotten better and I admit I have been enjoying it despite Rick being gone so I hope it keeps going that way. I don't want to kill off Michonne, I can't see them killing off her character. It's good to seeing her back in a bigger role because, I agree, she was reduced to Rick's housewife or just being in the background worried about him dying. It's the same thing they did with Daryl. They both have stepped up again and now she's leaving. Sigh.

I totally agree with the Governor. The Governor in the show was amazing, the one in the comics is fucked for sure. Great writing but disturbing.... And I like how when you made this, Rick was obviosuly still on the show so you had no idea how critical Judith's character actually would become. But I truly don't agree. They show has shown scenes where Judith caused them some trouble, especially when Tyrese had her in the woods. But as she got older she adapted, what babies/children are supposed to do. I remember there being a scene where someone said Judith was quiet for a baby. I always liked this because it enforces the idea of only the quietest/strongest kids will survive, and that leads us to "World Beyond". Some babies happen to be more quiet than others. My parents tell me all the time they always thought I was dead as a baby because I didn't learn to whine and cry until I was a toddler.
