5-Cylinder Engine Swap on a Lancia Delta Integrale Hillclimb Monster!

During the 2017 Cividale - Castelmonte Italian hillclimb I recorded the mighty Lancia Delta HF Integrale of Milan Bubnič (HBB motorsport - Gradmax racing team). Not the first time I saw this hillclimb monster but this time I immediately noticed a lovely 5-cylinder melody coming from the exhaust. I was hoping to find some infos about his new engine but the only thing I got is just a little glimpse of the engine head which seemed to me more like the one of a Fiat 2.0-litre 20V engine than the one of a more common Audi 2.2 or 2.5 engine.
Really hope to discover the truth but until that moment enjoy this great sounding car being driven up to some mountain roads!

Beautiful machine, both looks and sound!😍 Interesting twist with that 5 cylinder engine, too. I know you caught a glimpse of it, but the driver almost gave you a good look into the engine bay in that final clip.😲 If he had hit the hay barrier just a little harder.😜 j/k, mate... no one wants to see that. hahahah that's really a bad way to caught a glimpse of the engine, luckily the damage seems only aesthetic but I didn't think about this sort of "escamotage" to look inside the engine bay XD I definitely hope he will continue to use this engine because I of course love 5-cylinder engines but it seemed a lot faster than before with the previous 4-cylinder. Fingers crossed ;D

@@fredrich99 I believe you when you say it's one of the finest fiat engine ever. Sadly a friend of mine used to own a Stilo Abarth and the engine had so many problems. When looking into the design and working of the fiat engine it became apparent that it really is no match for the Volvo or Audi 5-inline engine.
