Kankanaey person here. I live near the hanging coffins of Sagada about 1hr drive. Its actually a tourist spot here. Just a 10 minute walk, youll find the sagada caves, which takes 6-8 hrs to explore. Always bring a tour guide when exploring the cave, a lot tourists had gone missing there, and some never returned out of the cave

It sounds like the Gomantong Caves aren't meant to be a place for people. They are home for a large variety of animals and insects, and we just leave them and their home alone, not traipse through stepping on them and complaining about how gross they are. It makes me think of the kind of people who describe the ocean as "shark infested". That's their home, and we're the infestation, dumping garbage, chemicals, and toxic runoff into their home.

Three months on from the transfer from the old narrator to this one I keep seeing comments about this one single thing. IF - like me - you watch regularly, you'll know about the change in narrator AND know WHY that happened. If you don't - then please binge watch episodes and catch up on what happened. Then - DEAL WITH IT!! Deal with your feelings, please. In this instance, I see your feelings as being akin to your rectums - we all have one, but that DOESN’T mean everybody has to see yours. Such comments impact the enjoyment of those of us who HAVE/DID deal with our feelings. They're also NOT respectful of the new narrator - just imagine you trying to move into a new role when the rest of your colleagues miss the person you replaced - I'll bet you wouldn't appreciate it greatly and it would impact on your ability to do the job.

I did get the sense that he was starting to lose some juice after doing it for so long. I could “feel” it in the later videos (been watching since 2016). No one can sit there and do one thing for ever, so fair enough.

@Ezrashah burnout. I'm currently dealing with burnout for the 3rd time in 10 years - it's not fun. From a PR perspective, it was done correctly - a handover did occur in a video. I think a lot of people really DON'T realise just how much work goes into a KZbin video - researching the topic, writing a script, collating images that can be used (important for these videos) making sure you use appropriate images AND that you have the rights (copyright) to use them, tending to "legal" stuff - all before you even start to create the video. In many cases - it's a small operation consisting of a handful of people. Unlike commercial TV shows - which are supported by a big nationwide network. In BOTH cases, tho, you need to make sure your content is advertiser friendly AND/OR obtain sponsorships - nobody does ANYTHING for nix. Content like that of Top 5's is behind the 8 ball from the outset in this regard. I watch another channel (politics) where the same thing happened - the original front person burned out, so a switch was made to the front person. Those who watch that channel are different, more together, dealt with their emotions. No "I miss the old guy" whinges. People do ask how he's doing and b.ecause this channel is a person talking to camera, these questions can be answered. Fundamentally tho, it's about dealing with change. I get you may struggle, which gives you some leeway - or should. But there comes a point where enough is enough & someone's gotta say something about it. So somebody somewhere made a decision for themselves that you either don't like or agree with. Tough, deal with it, accept it & MOVE ON PLEASE. Because your moaning is starting to affect my capacity to enjoy the content. People say don't read the comments - ok, but I've learnt stuff I find interesting by reading the comments. Also - depending on the device you use, KZbin kinda puts the comments right in your face - the comments section sits right beneath the video details and - on my phone, anyway, flicks through the comments list, bringing up the first 2 or 3 lines of random comments. I have cPTSD from a lifetime of people not using manners and making me responsible for dealing with what is essentially THEIR emotional baggage. People who can't be bothered to follow simple rules like letting me know my name has come to the top of a wait list. I'm sure there's loads of peeps exactly like me. The sun don't shine out of yo butt & the world don't revolve around you. Please deal with yo crap & contribute to a nicer world. Thankyou.

Sorry, but I think after nearly a decade of subscribing to this channel and watching these videos regularly, I'm gonna have to finally unsub and opt out. This obvious AI voice is so emotionless and bland, and I'm not subscribing to channels for AI slop, I want to hear a real person presenting content. I would have preferred a hiatus over switching to generated content. Really disappointing. And to the ones going around telling people this isn't AI and it's real, no one's buying it. Think about it: -Weird speech patterns similar to how voice generation software tends to not quite get specific articulation -The very robotic sound quality and almost filter-like effect on the voice (I doubt this is someone deliberately using a filter) -Little to no emotion from the voice because AI has a difficult time replicating emotion in speech -The sudden increase in video uploads to double the usual amount due to AI generation taking minimal effort to generate a script and voice instead of writing and recording -The lack of a proper introduction of the new narrator (he literally just said "here's the new narrator" and they just started narrating, there was no introduction because he can't introduce a fake AI voice) Its clearly AI, and unless you drop hard proof, I won't be responding to anyone saying otherwise.

the "original" narrator stepped back a bit, it was getting too much with 3 or how many videos a week for 10 years or so (I am really bad at remembering numbers 😀), without a break. He deserves it. So he hired a new narrator. But the original narrator is still with this channel, will occasionally narrate and will definitely be doing the spooky month as usual 🙂 He spoke about it in a video some time ago. I don´t remember now which one or how long ago, my memory sucks really, but it was relatively recently.
