In the early 2000s, I was an emergency dispatcher for a police/fire department. One night we received several hang-up calls on the 9-1-1 line. The system showed that the calls were originating from an address in a rural area in our coverage zone. Thinking that it might be a person in a dangerous situation who was unable to talk at the moment, we sent an officer out to the address. It turned out that the address was a burned out mobile home that hadn't been occupied for years. The very weirdest part is that the information shown on the dispatching screen was saying that the number was a landline phone. The officer was very creeped out, and we never found out why we got those calls.

Paula Porras....oh wow that’s pretty wild. The morning my grandma died, my mom called me to tell me the news and asked if I wanted to see my grandma one last time. I told her I didn’t think I could, it would’ve been the first time I had someone close to me pass away and I wasn’t sure if I could handle it or not. I felt so guilty as soon as the words came out of my mouth. Then my “mom” replied “that’s ok honey” and I swear it was my grandmas voice in fact I know in my heart it was her and calling me honey was something she always did whereas my mom didn’t. Her voice was so distinctive that I was immediately shocked and just sat there speechless until my mom finally started asking me “are you still there?”. I also remember that at the precise moment I heard my grandmas voice my cell phone reception suddenly wasn’t as good and was staticky. After hanging up with my mom I felt the sudden urge to see my grandma one last time before the funeral parlor came and she was ultimately cremated. When I got to where my grandma was that morning, I couldn’t stay but a minute because I could “feel” her spirit/soul was no longer in her body, she just wasn’t here on earth anymore, if that makes sense, and that when I heard her on the phone earlier, it was her saying goodbye and reassuring me that she was ok. It was a bittersweet moment that I’ll never forget.

My wife and I were watching this, and the last story really resonated with us because we thought the last story really rang alarm bells. It occurred to us that; the voice mail was a genuinely disturbed and frightened woman, and therefore a real 'cry for help'. It seemed logical that this person may have used the perpetrators phone which was set as unknown, since they were obviously trying to hide their identity. But more disturbing, it's highly probable that the victim simply clicked on an available number on the phones list? Possibly, a deeper investigation may be required into this incident? BTW. Really great channel. Much thanks to Mr Nightmare.

UK viewer here - I've had that exact voicemail with the crying woman. I remember it because it sounded like there was a second person at the beginning, the way she's crying and that it sounded like "I'm trapped in the dark". Obviously I was freaked out when I got it (very late at night too), and found out it was a scam call trying to get you to call back. Some of them are really obvious - a common tactic is to record a clip from a movie and use that - but freaky nonetheless. I didn't call back but one or two people on Reddit have, and it went through to a sales representative of some kind. I've also heard of it being a premium number and charging you a stupid amount to ring them. This could also explain the last voicemail - as it's a year old, and a lot of these scams get shut down real fast (especially if they're based in the US, UK, Europe etc.), it could have been shut down and so calling back would lead nowhere. I'd be interested to see whether the police had any answers for them.

I tried explaining wanting to help but she called two different days and we talked about how she needs help. If I could be her friend. These two conversations lasted about 10 minutes each. “She” called twice more but only lasted about 30 seconds because I started getting nervous and hung up. I've received a phone call like that once. Still get goosebumps when I think about it. It didn't help that I got it in the middle of the night either. I don't get many calls, especially the once in the middle of the night. So when the ringtone broke the silence of the night, I groggily looked at the screen. The number was +7, so since my bro and sis live in Moscow, I thought maybe one of them changed their number. I picked up and the loud shrieks and screams pierced my ears. I shivered and covered myself, while asking them to calm down and who it is. The childish/young woman's voice started wailing, didn't seem like she heard me at all. The cries were so loud, even my husband woke up, asking what happened. Then a man screamed, there was a thump and the line went dead. I was scared for weeks after that. Gladly, it wasn't neither of my siblings and they both were at work at that time.

I think some people might find this interesting so I’ll leave it here, I occasionally get voicemails of just silence, sometimes breathing. Sometimes they’re from a private number and sometimes the number isn’t private- when it’s not private, it’s this bizarre number that only calls me the rare few times I’ve been black out drunk. So I don’t remember the calls, but they last for a while, and the log usually has a string of calls in sequence so either I or they hang up and then we call back. The number’s location is always from this town that I know for a fact burnt in the bushfires and doesn’t exist anymore. Weird

The breathing and the fact that they call you specifically when you're drunk leads me to believe it is a stalker, maybe someone close enough to you to know that... I would buy hidden camera detectors and learn how to use them effectively and think of a way to get more info, for example if in the past they knew when you were drunk while you were alone in your apartment, you could get surveillance of your own and get "drunk" with a liquor bottle filled with water.

I got a voicemail a few years back of what sounded like a frantic and terrified man. I couldn't make out what he was saying. Even weirder, it was in my saved voice messages, yet that was my first time hearing it.

When I was about 20, maybe 21 years old back in the early 2000s I received about 10 voicemails over the course of a week. They were all of someone screaming in a demonic voice. I didn't think anything of it and would delete them about halfway through and just chalked it up to being bad static. This video definitely makes me a little bit more freaked out lol. Thanks Mr. Nightmare 😳😳!

I listened to this through headphones, in my kitchen near the front door, around midnight, and those knocks in the first story scared the shit out of me 😂 Very creepy stuff - thank you.

Something about this video made me cry with fear, it’s so personal having a someone/something ring YOU and leave YOU a voicemail…
