During WWII, pilots and crew of planes flying over the “Hump” (the Himilayas) were told to carry trinkets that they could trade for their lives with the local head hunters. One such pilot told our group that his plane went down and he was glad he took that advice. He was badly injured, and they finally had a plane sent to pick him up. Because it was an older plane, he had to be strapped to the wing. When asked if it was exciting, he replied that he was so badly injured that he didn’t notice. RIP, Russ Casteline. An amazing man with amazing stories that always ended well for him. I was honored to have known him.

mta, the plane was a very old (even for WWII) biplane or something like that. And if wing walkers wouldn’t disrupt the airfoil, someone strapped to the wing wouldn’t either. Besides, I’ve never known him to lie. His life was more colorful than that.

Hi, thanks for your work, you are great. Corpse Medicine dragged on on a much monger basis : in the 1980 in France, growth hormone was harvested from corpses. The product was marketed and reimbursed by universal care, thought it never went through a market authorization process. It was notably over-prescribed to children that were just of short stature. Scandal emerged with patients (i.e. mostly children) developing Creutzfeldt-Jabob disease. Looking for your next videos

@@zohibali5606 I mean.. I am a woman? It’s nothing to do with ‘what aboutism’, it was an interesting thing I found out in my own research. There is definitely one account from a primary source about a woman selling her husband for very cheap at a market and parading him like cattle, extolling his worst virtues to get around divorce. His marriage was transferred to another woman the same day. I am however not about to drop my life to grab that source for you but you are welcome to go on your own research tangent and find it. If I remember right it was in a extant newspaper or book from the time. I also wasn’t trying to ‘legitimise’ wife selling? I’m entirely baffled where you got that from but ok. Selling people is bad. Don’t sell people mkay? Also it’s been over a year since I even made my last comments and over two since I even made my original comment. It’s been a while, chill. Maybe check the dates before you necro?

Before the Aztecs, the Toltec ruled over more or less the same territory and worshipped the same Gods around 950 AC. There was a religious/civil war between the followers of Quetzalcoatl and the followers of the other Gods. The human personification of Quetzalcoatl was known as Topiltzin in Nahuatl and Kukulcan in maya language. He and his followers were against human sacrifices but at the end they lost the war. He fled to the east in theory into the sea and in the legend he had white skin, and golden hair and beard. When the Spaniards came 500 years after, the Aztecs believed that Cortez was Quetzalcoatl returning from his exile. Blonde hair and beard, disgust and opposition to human sacrifices, coming form the eastern sea, destroying the other idols the Aztecs for a crucial moment truly believed he was Quetzalcoatl

After WW1 there was a monument public display akin to collecting enemy trophy heads that makes a astonishing spectacle of the shear amount of casualties. In Times Square there was a display of 1,000's of German helmets amassed in a huge pyramid that's basically a 20th century PG-13 version once commonly practiced by Mongol and Muslim Armies centuries prior

Is there any difference between modern blood tranfuaions and corpse medicine? Yea of course there is stupid question
@jenniferparker7843
@jenniferparker7843 2 жыл бұрын
corpse medicine was mostly consumed (look up mellification or "candied flesh," also the blood of a freshly guillotined thief was collected directly from the deceased and given to epileptic children to drink). transfusions are delivered intervenously

As an aspiring mortician and someone who knows quite a bit about the human corpse I have an issue with how you portray corpses. While practicing cannibalism can have horrible consequences. Unless the person died of some horribly infectious disease or have been decomposing in the elements for a long time, you would not get diseases from getting too close to it. Don't drink the blood from a corpse. But being next to one won't kill you.

just don't eat the brains of the dead bc kuru (aka crutchfield-jacobs disease) prion diseases can't even be destroyed in an autoclave. the other danger would be hepatitis B and C. hep C lives on surfaces for up to 6 months and will lead to liver failure. HIV/AIDS is destroyed once it hits the air
