Great big beautiful fish. Sometimes a rod gets destroyed but that's part of it. A buddy of mine broke a rod off stubby like that and caught alot of fish on the same rod after it broke. One thing for sure it won't break in the same place next time Lol. Great video 😎

My wife and I are going to go live in the keys for half the year next year on our sail boat. We both have remote jobs and just travel around on our floating home. Going to start my fishing channel next year when we get there! Super excited, such a cool place to fish.

I would have top water jigged them they were feeding on what I would call a silver or lil shrimp but most the time for tarpon we use silver dollars or finger mullet . and man it was a fun fight plus we’re in the water not on it ..!! We never had a boat we would have waiters and a cast net and aerators and stuff for our bait and we had bait baskets for when we would fish we fill it full of mullet silver dollars and shrimp then we would walk out to a sand bar in port st Lucy and target reds and snook but man what didn’t we catch is the question the first day I fished in Florida I caught all new fish … it was amazing.. and rays and puffer and shark man I miss it … but I always had plastic jerk bait close by for This type of feeding.. yup toss out a little jerk bait fish triple treble hooked or a double and you would of killed it .!! Man they are monsters

Y'all are complaining about the heat i have those seatek shirts. First time i wore them in the keys i almost heat stroked 3 times in August. Lived in South Florida my whole life and was like man i can't handle this heat all my friends were fine not staying those shirts i think they dry too fast so your sweat won't cool you down. I switched to another brand and 0 issues
