I am so grateful to you for doing this video! I literally have lost all self love for myself and I was at my lowest point last night and when I woke up this morning I saw a notification from refinery 29 and the title of today's video and I smiled to myself and was like I can't believe Lucie was in tune with what I needed to hear and learn. I don't agree with intuitive eating. ..some people eat when they are stressed out. so pretty much you're eating your feelings. I think a better way to put it was . don't deny your body what it craves do it in moderation and do it with a concious thought that the food you're going to feed it will give you energy and will be good for you in the long run. if you're used to eating junk food and you intuitive eat what your body wants you're gonna end up eating more bad food and then you're gonna feel like 💩...that's not self love lol.

Actually the reason people eat badly when they're stressed out because of how much they refrain themselves from eating what they want. So when you eat intuitively you just eat whatever you feel like and even if you just eat junk food you eventually get grossed out by fries so your body adjusts and you start eating salad. I almost never want junk food but when I feel like it I just go for it because if I tell myself not to I'll just end up eating three times the amount I would have eaten if I had just indulged. That's the way it works for me at least!

Emotional eating isn’t true intuitive eating. Intuitive eating may have an emotional component but stress eating equals disordered eating. Look into the principles behind intuitive eating and you will see that it doesn’t promote stress eating.

I have little dates with myself.. I love breakfast, I love music and I love movies! So I take myself out for a breakfast or brunch at a new place that I've wanted to try and I'll listen to music & read or journal/Work on some passion projects. Then I'll go see a movie that I've been wanting to see that probably non of my friends or boyfriend wanted to see with me lol. P.S. I love this series so much!! P.S.S How about 5 days of Job Hunting? how about 365 days of self love! the one thing that i honestly dont believe in its meditating. i probably never learned how to do It right, but to me meditating is just overthinking without music.

aw lucie's here :) and alessandra, meditation has scientifically proven benefits (i say proven but what I really mean is supported, nothing is technically 'proven' by science) like lessened anxiety, increased happiness, better focus and ability to resist temptation, more positive relationships with others (and the self), lessened depression. it's hard to get into, but once you've done it for a while, you can sort of 'tap into' it in the future. e.g. I used to meditate every day, twice a day for months (10 minutes a session), but then took a break for a while (~8 weeks). recently, I tried it again in the morning, and was amazed at how positive and 'whole' I felt after it, despite being a bit down most other mornings. however, you need to find a method of meditation that works for you. some people like peaceful sounds, some like it in a group ,some like absolute quiet (although I'd say that's extremely difficult for beginners), yogic meditations, and some like guided meditations. guided meditations are the easiest for beginners to get into IMO, and that's what I've personally been using. I would HIGHLY recommend the app 'headspace' which has different meditations for different goals (happiness, depression, anxiety, relationships, productivity, etc). you can also get a free year's subscription if you google for a promo code. good lucK!

I practice self love by waking up everyday and saying to myself that today I’m going to careless about what people think about me and that every one has insecurities about themselves not just me and I accept every single flaw in me because I just don’t give a fuck what anyone says about me and that today I’m going to be a boss not at the work space but at my life in general I’m going to control my life I won’t let my life control me cause I’m the boss over here and what does a boss do? Take control

the thing with intuitive eating I think is your body needs to be exposed to the right foods for a while to know what really nourishes it in every way. If you're raised on mcdonalds and processed foods, or just forget what veggies look like for a while, the healthy stuff is not what you're going to be craving at first. I think intuitively eating can still be practiced but while using sound nutrition as a basis for your staple foods.
