5 Days Out Of Base - Life Of An Airline Pilot

In this video, I'm going to show you a behind the scenes of a week in the life of an airline pilot.
I am currently an airline pilot on the Airbus A320. In this video, I will be showing you what happens when an airline pilot gets sent out of base for a week. I am based out of London Stansted Airport, but for this video, I will be in Vienna. The week was full of flying and different challenges as you'll see in the video.

Hello Oli, love your Channel. I’m 15 and an aspiring pilot. Please try and find out if you can film anything at all in the flight deck, even if it’s short clips in the cruise or something. Also maybe more footage of what you do in your spare time if you know what I mean. I think maybe even small “b-roll” type clips of you walking to the airport for example and things like that, would be great to put over at some points in the video whilst you talk. I think All of these suggestions would make your videos 10x better

Given the amount of studying / revision required from cadet school to type rating, would it be possible to make a video on your revision techniques when you did your ground school and general techniques during your training to achieve high success like yourself?

What you recommend to financially be able to become a pilot? Im 19 and I would like to pursue my dreams, I have a job right now which makes around 18600 a year. If i work for 5 years prior to doing any lessons i could have at least 60-70k In my opinion as i do not pay rent currently. What made this dream possible for you? Did you take our loans, did you pay for it all yourself or did you have help? Please help me!

I’d imagine so, yes. I remember from a previous video solo saying it was a requirement for his airline. EASA licence (as opposed to UK CAA would allow to fly European registered aircraft. I’d expect anything based in Vienna wouldn’t be ‘G’ registered.

Dude please i beg you how in the raging hell you were able to land a job with airlines after you graduate? I finished my Com license and I got stuck, I must go fly a shitty airplanes now to build hours and waste some 3 to 5 years of my life and put my life in danger flying shit airplanes just to build the hours to have the chance that i might get into airline The irony is that even the shit job airplanes companies are not hiring Including Instrctor jobs I send out more than 300 applications worldwide, Can someone for the love of God tell me what's the mext step after getting the licence?
