5 Decorating & Design tips - Disney Dreamlight Valley

Today I wanted to share some decorating and design tips I discovered while playing Disney Dreamlight Valley. I honestly love building in this game and I wanted to share a few things I've learned along the way. More build content is coming soon but I wanted to help you with your own builds. On the topic of ordering things from Scrooge, it may be something they will patch out, as it seems like it couldn’t possibly be intentional, but if you put any crafting bench in your inventory (such as your initial iron one or the wooden one that was initially by Goofy’s House), you can buy more crafting benches from Scrooge for only ONE COIN EACH! I’ve loaded myself up on them just in case it’s patched out at some point, but I now have at least one of them in every biome. You can also order more of the table located outside of the restaurant from Scrooge if you put the initial one in your inventory.

Omg! Thank you so much for the variation tip in the landscape section! I thought I had accidentally deleted some of the rare trees from the Forgotten Lands and couldn’t find them in the Landscape menu… but just realized they must be a variation! They really should just make that like a sub option or something but your vid is a lifesaver!

SAME! That's how I figured it out! I had deleted all the trees to sort myself out and thought I lost all the cute red trees. Started placing some new ones and was like "wait that's different". Then I started testing other trees and was so surprised!

I like using the home chest as extra backpack space. I’ve finished all the quests for now so I’m just grinding away in each biome, mining and fishing and working towards the dreamlight quests. When my fully upgraded backpack is full I empty it in the chest and keep going so I don’t have to go back home to empty it

@@mushykins I feel that. My problem now is I used a bunch of coal at the beginning and now I barely have any and keep having to use the small amount I have for quests. I’m so tired of eating a ton of fruit over and over with it barely moving the bar. 😭

Stealing the books in front of office was the first decorating thing I did as well 😂 and my Home Layout for the main room looks similar in style to yours! I have the same chimney and window in the exact same position as well as a similar desk area but with a different desk. Love the Tangled and Beauty and the beast furniture! Still working on crafting my first gazebo though and I loved the tip about Eric since he is the only villager that I haven’t unlocked yet. I’ve been trying to play without looking up things related to story progress but now that I have seen his blueprint table, I am really tempted to just Google how to unlock him…I will try maxing Ursula and Ariel first and if that doesn’t help, I’m looking it up! Thanks for the tip:)

I actually learned alot from this video thank you... I needed to do research but I feel like every biome can only have a set amount of flowers growing in the ground and you can move them. So if you tired of having random flowers growing everywhere make a spot for them or incorporate it into your outdoor decorating. But like I mentioned I have not tested this enough to be 100% sure of it but I have a strong feeling it is the case. 🙂

Um...you do know that Donald gives you the helm bookshelf for free when you level him up in friendship right? My tip for those who don't want to run around for parts is have it in your inventory and order it from Scrooge. I'm particularly fond of doing the crafting table Scrooge gives you idea 😊 pop that in your inventory and go order more for 1 star coin a piece. Thanks for the tips though i was already decorating that way but i did pause and get the game to cook i appreciate the wonderland recipe. 1 more level to get Moana to 10 and I'll open the last biome. I enjoy watching other people's stories and content if it's good and i like yours ☺❤

@@mushykins He literally blows a fuse lol at least not when you're hanging out. To be honest I got him on level 8 and we never hung out. I'll just take with me to the last biome right I'm with Scrooge could you imagine we need ores more than we need the gems. Honestly I'm glad this game is not like all games it's good to be different or you won't stand out.. Oh at it temporarily stops him if you talk to him right before his fuse about to go. I do hope they cut back on some of that cause it's not funny watching him fall all the time then explode.

I haven’t made videos about it. But I personally do a lot of gardening. I started with carrots, moved on to canola, now I do pumpkins. I normally sell them out right but if you want to take the time to cook, it’s definitely worth it!

It’s an item you have to craft. It takes lots of resources though!

You have to get to Forgotten Lands to unlock it. There is a resource there needed to craft it at least once.

I’m not worried about decorating because I can’t even stay over 5K Gold for more than 5 minutes with how expensive everything is. Just got Ursula’s house and it was 10K? Like tf? Every other house was 2k? Upgraded Scooge’s shop, oh another 10K! (Later I learned it’ll be 25K after). I haven’t even bought any furniture or clothes since I got the game a week ago cause’ I have to spend it all on upgrading and unlocking homes 😒

Best way to make money in this game is gardening. I started with Carrots and as I progressed I now do Pumpkins. Each biome has a good crop to grow and plant a lot of them. Really helps allow me to buy everything I want each day!

I do a lot of farming! I started with carrots and then worked my through different crops in each biome. I have all the biomes unlocked now so I mostly do pumpkin farming now
