Yup, Itoi himself said the abortion theory wasn't true, or at least not his intention. I'm personally a fan of an alternate way of interpreting the Giygas background sprite, which is if you take a chunk of it and turn it upside-down you get what looks like a red distorted image of Giegue from Mother/Earthbound Beginnings. It makes more sense to me given the narrative and who Giygas once was.

From what I remember, SomeAngryGamers played one of the earliest downloads of Sad Satan & confirmed there was CP. If Obscure Horror Corner really made the game, outing himself as creator would make him complicit of downloading & distributing CP. Which makes me wonder, if true, if that's something he chooses to partake in on the reg... Maybe the CP was added after he claimed it existed in the original version he played. The only 'value' I see in Sad Satan is that I found it eerily similar to my experiences as a schizophrenic having a particularly bad episode. The visuals & audio were uncannily similar. It made me wonder if the creator was trying to express that from firsthand experience, but I really doubt it's that deep.

Yep, that’s exactly where I first heard about the game years ago when Muta first uploaded his gameplay footage. The fact that just the sounds of the game alone were enough to make him sick told me all I wanted to know about the game at the time. However, the version I saw a few years later didn’t have any CP in it, thank fucking god, just a lot of shock content, gore, and “edgy” political/war photos.

I do actually agree with you CreepyReading. :) Petscop is in fact an amazing series with an interesting/creepy story, and it's ten times better than "Sad Satan" Back in 2015 before I tried becoming a famous KZbinr, my brother tried to convince me to watch Sad Satan, but I was feeling very fucking uncomfortable and was not interested at all... Then when I watched Petscop earlier in 2018, I was a really great fan of that series because of its aesthetic and the way to tell viewers this depressing and macabre story about child abuse, and how we can learn to respect our children so that we don't run into strangers that'll possibly murder or kidnap us. I give my respect to everyone who has dealt with this pain in the life.

It is all about timing...I personally concur with the regression to the mean theory about it myself but the year after being chosen for the cover does seem to always be among the players worst if not absolute career breaking. Secondly, only one person has ever died on an NFL field and that was a heart attack.
