If someone is freaking you out or stalking you at a bar, etc. and you’re uncomfortable, take a picture of their face if your state laws allow you to. If the worst case scenario happens like in the last story, you’ll have a face to show the police, and if not it will likely deter them from going after you or anyone else. Creeps deserve to be exposed.

He said they had surveillance footage of the man though, so the police do have a face supposedly. If anything, it's the fault of the bystanders for not grabbing him.

Advice. If someone is sending you creepy messages and stalking you at a bar, don’t let them know you are leaving. Sneak out.
@mikey_strange2 жыл бұрын
Exactly! Never let them see you leave. I've had a guy stalk me at a bar once. A much older man. At first he was just staring a bit which was whatever. But then I noticed that he would not take his eyes off of me. I got up at one point to change spots so that he wouldn't stare at me and to my unsurprising horror, he also moved so he could keep his eyes on me. Eyes on me for at least an hour, he didn't get up, didn't order any drinks, didn't talk to anyone. He'd just stare at me. Anytime I would move, he would move. Always between me and the exit. It was terrifying. I knew i had to leave but i didnt want to make it obvious cause he's gonna see me leave. So I quickly pay my tab and waited. I browsed on my phone, talked to the bar tender, mingled a bit. Anything to not give away that I was planning on leaving. The second I saw him go to the bathroom I ran out the bar and all the way to the train station amd not once did i look back. I really don't know what would have happened if I didn't notice him staring at me.

Morals of the stories: 1. Never give out information to random numbers without confirming who it actually is, and even then be wary of what you give out because you never know who is behind the screen. 2. Block people that get too creepy or start harassing you in a way that makes you uncomfortable. 3. Be aware of your surroundings, no matter how safe you feel because you never know who is watching. 4. Keep all your social media accounts private and to people you know in real life.

Around December 2021 I got a text a text from an unknown number. The number used my first name, spelled correctly, which is hard to do. They said that it was a while since we talked and they really missed me. There was some other stuff written about activities we supposedly did, none of which I took part of(all activities named were not inappropriate). It was very unsettling, especially since I got the text closer to midnight. I didn't open the text until the next day when my friends were with me. All of them unanimously agreed that whoever this person was, was likely desperate and to not ever answer their texts or calls. Which I already knew not to do. All my friends were probably more worried about my safety than I was. Even my guy friends were flocking me anywhere I went. I blocked the number, but wrote it down just in case. It's very unsettling when things like that happen to anyone.

Whenever your information gets sold online (like from signing up for newsletters or websites saying you need an account to do whatever) you will get random texts and emails like this. I luckily didn't have anything as creepy as what happen to that last girl happened to me. I did, however, have something creepy happen to me one night at a restaurant. I used to live near this 24-hour pho place. It was amazing! I was there one night about 4 in the morning when I couldn't sleep and was craving food. It wasn't at all uncommon to find people there at any hour. At any rate, I was sitting at the only single table they had, and sitting kitty corner to me across the path of this very small cramped restaurant were these two gentlemen probably in their 40s. One of the guys, I don't really know how to describe him, but his hair was dark and slicked back, he had on that sort of smooth style leather jacket, and wore too much cologne. He did that upward head nod and said hello, to which I politely nodded my head and then went back to whatever I was looking at. He then said, I'll pay for your meal. I waved my hand and politely declined. My food came shortly after and it wasn't long after that that the two gentlemen left. The one that had been talking to me shot me the call me sign with his hands. I found this particularly odd because I hadn't given him my number and he hadn't given me his. I thought nothing more of it and finished my meal. Random weirdo. I then went up to pay only to find out that my meal had been paid for. Feeling incredibly creeped out and thinking that that guy might be waiting for me, I took an alternate route to walk home, and luckily never saw the guy then or again!

It's so easy to find out where people live or where they are right now from social media if you take the time to look through their pictures, videos and hashtags and find them in google maps. Vloggers especially dox themselves all the time by giving away clues like street names, cafes n stuff they've been to and recording their own street and house but they don't realise they're doing it. Even recording in your back garden can give a very clear picture of what it would look like on google maps and all someone has to do is spend time looking for that garden on google maps to find your house if they know roughly which town/city you live in.

I remember getting a creepy Facebook message from one of my friend’s throwaway account. She used this account as just a login for her mobile games (you know, the type of games that gives you daily credits and prizes if you login with your Facebook). I knew that account got hacked because whoever had it was asking questions my friend would never ask for a number of reasons. Like asking when we can hang out, what’s my address, etc. The problem is my friend was on bed rest at 8 months pregnant, and the state my friend lived in, I moved from 10 years prior.

One of your buddy’s what? His dog? His dentist? You used a possessive noun but you didn’t indicate what the noun possessed. Or was that moron-speak for "buddies"? Not knowing how to pluralize a common noun means you have the language skills of a seven-year-old. Here’s a hint: there are NO nouns in the English language that are pluralized with apostrophes. Apostrophes are used to either indicate possession or to form a contraction. That’s it. Signed, Your English Teacher

Why didn't the phone thieves just use Alex's phone to send the texts? It was already unlocked due to the lack of password (also, who does that?) and they already had access to his conversation with Gavin. Sending the texts from an unrelated number is just stupid, as it immediately puts one's guard up.

1. Don't go in public and get drunk (nothing good can happen from it). You're not going to start up a missionary or feed the homeless while intoxicated. 2. Don't give out your address to strange numbers. This includes when random numbers call and say "We just need to verify your ID by your name/birthday/address". Ask who they are and tell them you'll call back on their posted phone number. 3. If for some reason you've failed at both of these, buy a gun and ammo, rack/load and wait.

I'm suprised that at no point during second story was it suggested that this woman should seek professional psychological help, I don't justify her actions or say that it's your job to heal sick people, no, but that dad was like "you're crazy, I don't like it, bye" and then son followed up with "I'll let her write, let's see how crazy it gets" maybe there is more to that story, but convincing her to talk to psychiatrist or even calling ambulance on her could go a long way
