No, the opposite; verbs give you more flow, they reduce word count, and they can be more precise.

In Pakistan, we have a prestigious exam namely CSS having one paper of essay. We have to write a essay of 1500-3000 words in 3 hours and one sitting at exam hall. Generally only 1% people pass out this exam. Do you have any suggestion, guide, and plan to write such essay
