It does so many things so well for me that I don't even notice the things that seem to be driving you up a wall.

Thanks for the excellent review. You mentioned that you typicall have the backlight on...What is your typical battery life with the light always on? Thanks!

I study about 2-3 hours for 4- to 5 days in a week. I feel super uncomfortable when it reaches 15 and 20%. That’s the time I charge it. :)

I had the r2 and used it every day. It broke and I sorely missed it. I got the Pro last month and use it every day also. The color is nice for roleplaying game books and the light is nice for reading in bed. I think I like the screen color and writing experience of the r2 a little better, but don't really remember. I plan to have it for at least a few years so the cost difference between the Pro and the r2 hopefully comes to $5-7/month, which I think is worth it for the color and light.

I haven't had R2, however, based on people's feedback, such as yours, I heard that the writing experience is better on R2. Do you think RPP is for different audiences?

this line looks like a hardware fault of the e-Ink. Do you know how it functions? The ball that create color seem not to switch correctly - talk to Remarkable I guess they will send you a new device.

I recently got it without the cover to see if I want to keep it for pdfs and school then ill get the folio book cover. Yes its very expensive but premium and good build quality. The covers are overprised though. I do see the dots it doesn't bother me. The only thing I would return it for is that line in the notes, and if it doesn't work for my use case. I love the rumi books you have.
@EInkUnpluggedАй бұрын
So far have you been enjoying it? You can also buy a similiar cover on amazon for the fraction of the price. Whatever you choose RPP do not lose its value that much if you were to sell it one day.

I don’t have the ghosting (the line) like yours. Maybe consider returning for a new one. That would drive me nuts. However my screen is much darker than yours so I’m exchanging for that.
@EInkUnplugged23 күн бұрын
@@RPGenieUS I also heard there might be a potential pixel issue. For example, someone mentioned downloading a completely black page to check for pixel problems, and they noticed a few white dots on the screen. These dots weren’t visible until the black page was downloaded. That said, Remarkable’s customer service is excellent!

I can ignore those just fine. 1. Never seen that line. Looks like just ghosting 2. The eraser on the back is for erasing larger things. If you want a more tactile feeling, use the eraser pen 3. You are definitely nit picking. Once you know it isn't even an extra step, it's an extra half second, no more. 4. You are a little right about the light. But the problem for me not that the highest setting isn't high enough. It's that the first three setting do almost nothing and then the top to are the ones doing something. I will give you this one. 5. You have to work very very hard to show us the "e-ink dots". If you are that specific, then (colour) e-ink in general is not for you. 6. (Weren't it supposed to be 5?) I didn't notice the yellowish until someone pointed it out. So shut up. I love the device. What I don't like is the bezel on the left that the RM2 has is gone. Now when I hold it with my left hand, my thumb is often resting on the side of the screen. And then the gestures don't work.

@@ErikJan4 Thank you so much. It’s very enlightening to hear your review of it. Would you consider the hack? For the light?
@ErikJan427 күн бұрын
@EInkUnplugged No, I wouldn't. Not because I am scared of hacking, but becausI heard that hacks are reversed with every update. It's not worth the work for me. And I have a small hope that RM will solve themselves.

Isn't the dots in question how printed images look when you get really close? Maybe we just need higher ppi displays to not notice it like we don't with magazines and stuff.

I haven’t noticed a single one of these weird things you’re demonstrating. In three months of using it all day I have used the light twice. I would never turn it on all day long. Seriously disagree with every one of your complaints. Return it and use your iPad.
