Thank you for your review. My main use case is: note taking for work, journaling, studying for certification, highlight… kind of trying to keep multiple notebooks I use in one spot. I’m wondering whether I should be worried about flickering and not being able to search through my hand written notes. Do you think my use case firs for rMPP? The idea of having one device for my notes and thinking is really tempting… thanks so much for your comment.

My problem has always been the handwritten to text software with my rM2. I doubt this will be improved on the Remarkable Pro.

Thanks for the in depth review. Mine arrived 2 days ago and I am not quite loving it yet. I don't find the menus intuitive - am constantly forgetting how to delete things, bring up the menu, etc. I am also looking for advice on my workflow, which is almost exclusively note taking. I have a work laptop and a personal laptop and want to keep them separate. For work, I currently handwrite notes and used to then type them into OneNote. I can no longer keep up with the duplication so was hoping to find an improved workflow. Questions: 1) what's the best workflow for this? 2) is there a more suitable/intuitive tablet for me? I don't draw, don't really use PDFs, etc. I just want to hand write notes and then have the text be searchable. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Another great video. Quick question if I want to take daily notes then change to text with spell check and email it to my CRM software so it can be copy and pasted. Which e-ink tablet do you suggest? Thank you!

Can you rest your wrist on it while you write or does that mess it up?

Thanks for your review, KitBetts-Masters. Having been using a Remarkable 1 all this while, I'm definitely getting my Remarkable Paper Pro now - the light and colour is a game changer :)

I'm still in analysis paralysis. Do Boox & remarkable have the same contents, linking, keyword, and star functionality as the Supernote? I can't seem to find out how note taking on Boox or remarkable all links together and functions almost like Notion or Obsidian, in the same way Supernote does.

Wonderful video thank you! Was the backlight on throughout the whole video? I’m debating keeping mine because screen is inherently yellowish and the colors are not only muted but so bad you can’t really decipher the differences between them on the selector tool.

8:55 I now had two RMPPs in my hand and both had such horrible wobble I am waiting for my third device now. I definitely had way more wobble than you show here. I am very worried though, as the chances of getting two devices with basically the same defect should be super slim. Support told me it's not standard behavior.
@KitBetts-Masters28 күн бұрын
That is very odd! I wonder if they had a calibration tool you could sort it out on device. Hmm....
@pogofun28 күн бұрын
@@KitBetts-Masters yea, it kind of struck me by surprise how wobbly it was. I am hoping for the third device to be better in addition to not have any dead pixels/ pin holes in the screen. There is no chance to say how wide spread this is but just from reading online they might have some sort of QA issue with the Paper Pro at this stage.

Your guides help me to get the BOOX Air 3C and I've loved it - but since the last update they have lost connection with Google Drive and it has really spoiled it for me. I only use Google drive for my documents.....does the reMarkable work with Google drive? Thanks for your great guides!!

Good, how is the reading experience in total darkness, you can read well with the light of the device itself If my main intention is to use it for reading novels, would you recommend this product or would you recommend another type Boox Note Air 4 c Boox tab c ultra Thank you

I have a low loght environment and the weather outside can make it worse so screen visibility due to dim light is hard for me to do pdf reading and this is one of the main reasons I got the paper pro along with writing of course as I prefer writing on paper but I have educational notebooks I want to keep and its better to have them digitally. I tried writing on my galaxy tab and it's not working for me for classes and I avoid it. I dont want to do the light hack to increase the front light due to fear and warranty. I kn9w youtubers generally have bright lighting will it make a difference for me to update my lamp for a stronger light while I still test it as I may send it back due to the low contrast contrast text to bw devices and even keleido3 and the dim light.

Thanks for this. I like the idea, but the colour screen implemented in this way, seems like a big misstep to me. Everyone I know who has a remarkable 2, got one through access to work for their ADHD, and it is specifically recommended for helping with distractability. Add to that, sensory issues that come with ADHD and I think this one is likely never going to be recommended for this purpose. I'm not sure how much of their business this makes up, but I'd guess it's a lot. Remarkable 2 probably will remain the recommended device until they do the 3.

I won’t go back to paper since I discovered Obsidian, a totally different way of thinking. These ePapers are only half-way solutions and I tried them all and this one is one of the worst of them.
@kallaway127 күн бұрын
What do you like about Obsidian? On a superficial level it looks similar to OneNote to me, but I haven’t fully explored it.
@Ksane26 күн бұрын
But you can't HANDWRITE with Obsidian. Not from what I could tell. That's what I need and how I remember things and get ideas. It's actually scientifically proven you can retain more by handwriting. It's an obsession with me. Some people have this need to draw or paint. I have this compulsion to form letters into words & ideas by hand.

@ Not true, you absolutely can! Thanks to plugins, it runs like charm on iPad and it’s usable on Onyx Boox as well

Flashy rMPro advertisements - even “flashier” in real life - too much so?

And yet they’ve sold more than two million units. Kit, like others, mentions that these devices aren’t for everyone. Perhaps they are “half-way solutions” for you, but for many who likely have a much different use case than you, they are wonderful devices. I own four brands, have settled on the reMarkable platform as my daily driver, and have purchased several more and given them as gifts. I have found them to be very useful devices.
