Really appreciating the interaction on these tutorial videos! I think we're building a really nice community around these educational/adventure videos. Feels like we're getting back to the Drone Film Guide days for those of you who have been with us long enough to remember the channel's original name!

"Drone film guide" videos made me the drone pilot I am! I've won awards with footage shot using tips I learned from you guys. (Not to mention the countless realestate videos I've made.) My videos are not all drone, but adding a few spectacular drone clips elevates my videos to pro every time. Your return to this type of content is awesome! Thank you for creating them! Cheers. Ken Roads North Films (channel on here. "Miyawaki Man" is a good example of adding to a story with a drone)

I always enjoy the information you share in these videos. Even on a gray cloudy day your videos are stunning and having Alina in the scene makes them even better.

In truth, there is normally a fair bit of standing around waiting for people to get out the way! But yes, generally we try and get into the middle of nowhere so we can get on with things in peace!

Well now. Another excellent educational video from the 2 of you. Weather here in Greater Manchester like Scotland - cold, wet and miserable but when the sun comes out… what a difference. Moors, urban, country, historical architecture etc. thanks for all the tips to help make great films. Keep at it.

Very helpful! Question: do you start with compelling shots and create a story/narrative, or do you start with a story idea and build compelling shots around it?

Absolutely brilliant tutorial thank you for all those amazing hints…but let’s try city or town ! Believe it’s a lot hard than you think. All your ideas and hints I transfer to city..they do work brilliantly. #amazingchannel

Great to hear! At the end of the day, the tips are really 'normal' cinematography tips that we are applying to aerial footage so the same concepts apply for city shots.

Is this from the start of Beinn Dubh? It's such a short walk up to where you were to get some stunning views. I've flown my drone there before, it's a great spot.
@DroneFilmGuide2 ай бұрын
Rapidly Googling Beinn Duhn…YES! Needed a good quiet spot a little closer to Glasgow rather than going up to Glencoe all the time, so this was a bit of a find.

Totally random but somewhat related question: does the DJI RC 2 controller have cellular capabilities? Or do you still need to tether it to a mobile like the old controller?
@DroneFilmGuide2 ай бұрын
No worries! You still need to tether it. For maps you can download them before you go out and that can help.

The secret is simple: don’t treat your drone like an RC Aircraft, USE IT AS A FLYING TRI-POD‼️
@xJae14x2 ай бұрын
Except some drones are RC aircrafts, like the Avata 2
@samaipata47562 ай бұрын
@ I expected a comment like yours: FPV for me is a different species 😉 but I do agree either with you of coarse. That said I have done a video with my mini 4 and goggles that I love, because it allows what otherwise is extremely difficult to achieve if not impossible! Have fun flying FPV cheers from🇨🇦
@DroneFilmGuide2 ай бұрын
Couldn’t agree more! The drone is a means of getting a camera in a position you can’t otherwise get to. Sometimes movement is great, sometimes it’s not necessary at all.
@xJae14x2 ай бұрын
@@samaipata4756 as long as we’re all having fun is what counts. I fly everything from EDF jets to FPV drones and everything in between.

My mistake is not using my drone enough and getting in the practice, practice, practice. I then take it out maybe every 3rd or 4th week in the mountains and because of lack of use then there will no doubt definitely be lots of room for improvement. Its like anything, practice, practice and practice some more.....oh and watch a few of your videos 😂. My first time using my drone on a hill was that very same hill above Luss at Loch Lomond . 17 mins in start of my drone footage footage . After watching yours then I realise there is so much more room for improvement but in my defense it was really my first time using and I was a bit scared to do much with it 😂😂. kzbin.info/www/bejne/gJenn56Gh6d6o5Isi=MYeQWRzkCV2qWqOo I'm going to download your free guide and along with watching your tutorial videos then hopefully I can get some better footage
