@brianrasmussen29564 жыл бұрын
Braking and accelerating in sims is so different from irl. Irl you can feel the limit, in a sim you cannot. So you have to ‘remember’ how far you can push the throttle and / or how much to apply the brakes. The better your controller, the faster you go. And, pratice, practice practice!
@jasongibson12253 жыл бұрын
I've learned that practice really is key. It takes time to get rid of all the assists, and I'd argue that the best way to learn is by taking them off one season at a time. It's my first time playing F1 2019, and I'm a pretty recent fanboy of F1, so I've got the racing line on and I've decided to remove two assists thru my first season. ABS and ERS. I believe that if I can get those two assists off through an entire season, I'll be ready to remove automatic gearboxes and racing lines. Maybe I should turn off traction control too. I feel like throttle control is already important to avoid understeer and oversteer as well on certain tracks, and to encourage coasting through a turn. If anybody else is out there wondering how to practice, the practice sessions in career mode are great, especially the programmes like track acclimatization. Go through all of them too, with the race strategy being your final after all your homework doing everything before it. Perfecting race strategy is important because it directly correlates to what tires and fuel the game will give you, so it's a place for all your practice from the other programmes to come together. Why the programmes though? You can retry the practice programmes real easy and fast so you're back where you started after making too many mistakes or crashing.

@brynleythomas55254 жыл бұрын
You get vibration through your wheel too. Being a wheel user who used to use a controller, I'm saying Controller is much harder. I personally wouldn't bother and stick it to medium tc. There's less travel on the shoulder buttons than there is on pedals

@@bymafia2606 ur right I improved without TC but racing without ABS is so hard :/
@souldry4 жыл бұрын
D3DSTR1K3R Yes it’s the hardest part and it’s also the most important, I believe. Once you learn how they brake without locking up, it’ll improve your drive immensely. Like throttle control, but in reverse. No short cuts or fast ways but repetition. Gotta brake hard and then slowly and incrementally release the brake as you slow. After you do a ton of laps, you eventually start to “sense” when to start releasing brake pressure and by how much to avoid locking up.

Same to me, on medium game feels great, I just lose to those who are REALLY skilled (even though if I'm slipstreaming them I can copy their trajectories, ie just made a ranked against some gold 3, their pace was 1.10/1.09 whilst mine was 1.11/1.12 I could do some laps on high 1.10 emulating their actions). As long as medium tc and abs are on I can really get in the game, but when I remove those assists I don't have a feedback like pedals twitching or steering wheel trembling, so I can't really fix my mistakes whenever I do
