I used a paper towel instead of socks. It did start to feel better. & I had already been doing the "on the toes knee forward" while getting ready for company & I was so happy to see that you mentioned it. I'm going to try the flattening foot too. Thanks I really needed your video today. I was totally prepared to go to the ER after company leaves today, because of how bad my pain is. My 2nd toe is completely numb, and it feels like someone cut open my foot under the 2nd and 3rd toe and stuffed a big bumble bee in there, and it is stinging me. Idk how else to describe it.

I find my biggest neuroma agitator is flexing my toes when I keel. You show this in your video at 4:40 when your left foot is being tremendously flexed compressing the neuroma. Doing this greatly inflames my neuroma.
@docjenfit11 ай бұрын
Very true and you can absolutely do this exercise in a different position. You could have the front foot up on a chair so that you are just standing on your back foot. Thanks for the comment. I should have mentioned that in the video

Thank you! Great video! Love these more proactive treatment options. How do I not give up activities that require direct pressure on the ball of the foot? I can't figure/find out how to modify or strengthen to keep form. Do I just have to give up doing these activities with proper ball of foot form or is there hope of strengthening my foot to allow for continuing?
@docjenfit8 ай бұрын
So happy you liked it! There is always hope! In the interim, you could always try finding footwear that gives more cushion or support during these specific exercises. Then as you continue to strengthen and mobilize the foot and toes, maybe you will notice you don't need the cushion as much. It is definitely a journey and takes consistency!

Do you have a video for pst bunion surgery. My joint where the bunion was fixed over a year ago and I still have not gained full ROM. I also developed Morton’s neuroma after having the surgery. I did go to PT. She helped with my ankle strength and ROM but did little to help the big toe ROM.

Mine is painful, and I need steroid injections. My podiatrist wants to remove the nerve. Can this be treated without surgery?
@docjenfit Жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, we are unable to comment on surgical recommendations but there are generally things we can do to help our symptoms!
@kelcp33010 ай бұрын
I have the same problem like you, I have 2 neuromas, and after 4 injections the doctor said that I need a surgery. Actually I don’t want surgery, and I’ve started to search videos like this to do some exercises to decrease the pain, it doesn’t fix the problem but it helps a lot, and of course the shoes that you use is really important, you have to use a wide shoes, avoid tight shoes. Also, I bought a set of orthopedic insole, so the shoes plus the insole and exercises and I can postpone the surgery, of course sometimes I feel pain but not like before, I feel like 30% pain.
@cubehire365310 ай бұрын
I had a an ultrasound guided cortisone injection that helped a lot for almost a year. Don't get a cortisone injection in a doctors office without ultrasound. I was told by this doctor and a podiatrist I trust no matter what another doctor tells you not have surgery Radiofrequency ablation surgery. It can go very wrong. I am going to try these rubber sock things I saw in this video as there is less risk. Good luck!

My question is this … because my gait has changed I’m felling discomfort not only in my feet but also now in my Achilles tendons and knees. Is this common and what would you recommend? Thx so much …
