What you say about knowing your purpose is so true. I have my first date next week and I've been so worried about doing every little gesture right. Then sometime later his girlfriend breaks up with him for unrelated reasons and being single now he goes to the new girl (who wanted them to break up before anyway) and he starts to show neediness towards her this time because he already knows that she had a huge crush on him before. This can be a desperate sign of apology to her on his part. Do you really think that this would actually turn off this girl as well since it seems impossible for her to not want him after all of that sexual tension and maybe even the pain she felt that he inadvertently caused her during his relationship to the ex?
