I 100% agree. I dropped gym membership after covid gym closures and bought a pullup- and dipbar i started only doing weighted pullups and weighted dips and my arms got bigger than in my whole +10 years gym membership. Not to mention the monthly fees and the time I save from not driving to a crowded gym! I started at 12,5kg dips and now am at +33kg three years later. 6 reps x4 sets is my go-to. The guy that inspired me was Mathew Zlat. He has a video on how to increase in weighted calisthenics. Basically everytime you can do 8 reps just increase the weight +1 kg next time so in babysteps. It worked like a charm

Good video! City calisthenics parks that just have a high bar and a simple pair of parallel bars are awesome. If they also have a horizontal ladder and steel rings, that's even better, but unfortunately, most of the newer calisthenics parks where I live are instead equipped with all kinds of bright-colored, useless contraptions! These contraptions are expensive, and when they get installed, someone gets rich, so they are what will probably keep getting built.

I do it every day, plus eat a lot of meat and whey protein if needed and you can achieve a lot, and i mean a lot, I plan to do this till the day i hit the hay for good xd thank you for reading and thank you for making these videos, I love them!!! :D

Great information and nice video over all.My personal opinion is that you have to add some hinge movement to the equation just in order to hit your posterior chain too aka glutes hamstrings lower back etc.Unfortounatly is very difficult to do this bodyweight exercise because the tension is not enough with just you own weight and you need free weights. I personally prefer doing pyke push ups than dips because dips hurt my elbows but that my preference i think for most of the People dips are a better option

Hey Adam. I noticed you go significantly lower than 90 degrees when performing dips. Why is that?
@easypete37835 ай бұрын
If your shoulder mobility allows you to go deeper, you should def implement doing 45 degree dips for additional benefits- maximum stretch of involved muscle groups into the motion, 90 degree is safe universal option for an average athlete to keep shoulders healthy. However 45 and 90 degress are completely different on difficulty levels
@YRO.5 ай бұрын
It strengthens your shoulders in that range of motion. If you try to do muscle ups without being strong in this deep position, you could easily injure yourself.
@gabriel086075 ай бұрын
@@YRO. well muscle up is mostly a pulling movement than it is a pushing movement. If you find yourself in that position on the bar while trying to do the muscle up, it most likely means you lack the basic strength requirements to begin with.

If you want most bang for the buck, yes. Pull-ups, push-ups, dips, inverted rows, chest flies, knee raises, l sit, "ab wheel"-like exercises using rings.... upper body and abs are easily covered by rings. Except some delt and forearm exercises. Lower body... not so much. Pistol squats are nice but get too easy fast. So I'd say that you need these things to get a complete workout equipment: - rings - 5kg weight vest - 10kg weight vest - 2x1kg ankle weights - 2x4kg dumbells - 3x elastic bands different strengths I think this will get you anywhere you want UNLESS you want absolutely insane glutes then you pretty much need some way of doing hip thrusts with heavy weights. With the band you can do donkey kicks against resistance which is decent plus you can do pistol squats and step ups and lunges up to 25kg added weight (5+10+4+4+1+1) which is also decent.
