I don't know when it is either. I grew up in America, but I do know a lot about Mexico and I speak Spanish pretty well. Not at the same level/cadence of someone who grew up in Mexico, but a far cry from a no sabo. Nobody in my family celebrates dia de los muertos. And as far as I know, they never have. Even my great aunts/uncles, uncles, granparents, cousins, etc. in Mexico, never celebrated or even talked about it. They're from the countryside of Jalisco if that's relevant.
