Fossils are a great way to learn about the animals that used to walk this earth but sometimes it seems as though we find these animals in the fossils still alive today. The term living fossil has been heavily criticized over the past few years as it can be misleading. There are quite a few animals alive today that look very similar to fossilized animals but they are not the same species and they have undergone millions of years of evolution. In today's video i will be taking a look at a few groups of animals that were believed to be extinct before they were found alive and well in the wild.
