Nice as hell, those plugins, thanks Cameron ! For another herbs experiment, and 100% free, there arealso the Freakshow Industries' plugins which are amazing for destroying almost every sound. Also, the oldd odd Inear Display vst are insanely good (Gorgon, Regressif, Danaides, R-MEM, Bow Echo) Edit : I forgot to mention the two giant-creative glitchy vst from Glitchmachines, "Fracture" and "Hysteresis"

If you like NC-17 by Airwindows, check out Loud by Airwindows as well. Instead of focusing on speaker breakup like most distortion plugins, it tries to mimic the distortion in the air following insanely loud sounds like space shuttle launches. There's also Dupster Fire by Freakshow Industries. It's $20, but has a "steal" option if you want. It's some sort of pitch-shifting reverb, but it's got an extreme, borderline unusable circuit-bent sound with the knobs cranked. Usually I open it up and keep everything at its default save for the knob on the right, which I raise up just until it sounds like a smeary metallic short reverb. It's hard to place in a busy mix because it's a hot mess frequency-wise, but it's got a ton of character and it's fun to use.

What are some of your favorite free plugins? 🤔
@yousifaldailami42413 жыл бұрын
Damn it I didn't read 'free' For synths: Fuzzpilz - oatmeal for sure! Extremely underrated, looks ugly but just get a skin they are nice looking. Everyone knows vital and surge so ye Kiratune is good too FB-3300 and ModulAir by full bucket Zebralette and tyrell N6 ToneZ Tunefish 4 BR808 is definitely interesting but seems hard to work with, it has 8oscs and lots of modulation. If there is a way to use it, it will be cool too For effects: Krush (distortion and bit crush) I think the rest are well known, maybe even krush

Majken's Subduer, it's not the most amazing sounding but it really is so versatile as to be my workhorse, and it's really nice to have four distortion modes built-in, in addition to all the other stuff. BlauKraut Engineering's Charlatan is also great. Shortcircuit is an insanely versatile sampler but has a learning curve to match. Finally for VSTi's, SuperWave P8 for those delicious supersaws *for free*, I believe it's pretty much a Roland JD-8080 VST. For VST effects: Musical Entropy's GuitarGadgets - it's a little old now but it's really useful to have some niche effects and be able to layer up to four of them in one instance, and the Niagara Falls reverb seems to sound lovely on anything I put it on at any setting.

HeadCrusher (saturation/rather distortion). 5/5. I use it in every mix, friggin amazing. Very versatile, fits pretty much anywhere, and the "tone" setting is super useful as well. Coffeepun EQ (eq w/saturation): friggin amazing. I use it in mixing and mastering. Also makes you use your ears, despite having otherwise great visual look CoralBaxter: super crispy and airy top end, also good for low end. Master EQ and saturation. TDR Kotelnikov, really, really damn nice compressor. Comes with a very thorough and practical manual (great examples, great info). Valhalla Supermassive, really nice "ufo" delay TDR Nova (dynamic EQ), really nice in mastering, lifting drums, taming annoying bullshit that is not constant (no iLok bullshit with any of these) (I found all of these from In The Mix's tutorials (free plugin lists). If you don't believe me, believe him :D)

Edit: for FL users, here's an alternative to NC-17 (Maximus), with the possibility for only upwards compression of the quietest parts and/or waveshaping with adjustable ADSR kzbin.info/www/bejne/m4OZgmN8hJloqsk Maximus (just FL) does it all, not only cranck-it-up of course. Also: every single soundgoodizer preset is based on Maximus, and the presets can be found in Maximus. The soundgoodizer "Amount" knob in the center is the LMH Mix knob of Maximus (how much Low, Mid and High band processing is fed to the Master processing in Maximus)

NC-17 is free and easy to download. Why would anyone complain that it can't be found?
@adhoccerswings3 жыл бұрын
@@shaboogen Yeah sorry, took me 6 minutes to realize that the completely innocuous-looking grey "title" was supposed to be clicked, I just saw comments there saying that the download link was broken (not true apparently), so I initially didn't bother with it since I already have Maximus and Soundgoodizer in FL Studio. Now I downloaded it, tried it out, it's ok but maximus has a lot more options, including upwards compression of the quietest parts with the adjustable waveshaper, and two types of saturation, and adjustable curves so I'll go with it. Not that NC-17 isn't good though.

Could one say the NC17 is a bit like an OTT but it sounds more "grounded" and doesn't get as high-end-focused when you crank it up? Really cool video by the way, thanks!
@VenusTheory3 жыл бұрын
In a way yes but it's not providing reverse compression/upward compression. So, it's more or less a very extreme version of a single band of downwards OTT + a bit of clipping at extremes. Only fair comparison I could think of would be something like Camelphat but less distorted haha. Airwindows has some really unique stuff!

Sometimes I feel the biggest issue women have is with or between themselves: 1rst reason: when you look at their boobs it's: Hey! why you look at my boobs! when you don't pay attention, they wonder: What's wrong with my boobs? 2cnd reason: considering the number of random girls showing them on Instagram to literally get some attention. Now my problem with this plugin is that it seems to gets quick good results and no way to avoid the ridiculous interface.
