I experienced sciatic nerve pain yesterday after a long afternoon sleep and it was so painful and irritating that i could not walk properly without pain. I tried your stretching exercises 1, 2 and 3 while on bed. I managed to sleep with reduced pain and lo! I just woke up without the severe sciatic pain. I can still feel slight pain when i sit or when walking briskly but far better than yesterday. Thank you for your demo video!

I've had sciatica a couple of times over the years, I've always overcome it with exercises, but this last week I've had it worse than ever before. I couldn't stand up out of a chair unaided and struggled to walk upstairs. Any slight movement was agony. I've been doing my old exercises without much improvement, I've done yours over a couple of days and I have to say that why it's still not cured yet, the awful pain isn't as bad and it's feeling a lot looser. Quite some improvement in fact, so I'm going to keep on. Thank you for your vid!

I woke up last night as I have for the past four weeks since I started having pains in my hips and knees. I searched for help on sciatica and found your video. I started right away following the stretches. I started feeling better after trying this. When I woke up this morning and stretched again. My pain has not totally gone away but surprisingly I am feeling much better. I will continue stretching. Thank you for posting this information. I believe my sciatica started because of a B12 deficiency. I have been eating vegan mostly for about a year. I had taken a B12 supplement but when The bottle ran out. I had symptoms beyond sciatica which cleared up when I started adding meat again and found a sciatica supplement the has B12snd several other vitamins and supplements. But then sciatica became more evident and has been very painful. Your video is a godsend. Thank you again

Ive suffered from this pain for months straight, I'm a very limber individual for an almost 40 year old guy, but every winter for the past few years this pain strikes. Last winter was the worst. This year i knew what was causing it and have been using these stretches to give me some relief. It works, even if it's just temporary, it makes life bearable and has kept it from getting near the level it was last year.

Hello, thank you for these stretch tips. Last night, I had a small pop in my tailbone area. Within an hour I had little to no core strength. Today, I lay on my bedroom floor, trying to stretch for the first time. The stretches feel good. But I want to ask... As I'm trying my stretches to figure out what is causing the pain, I tried both your recommended stretches. As I lay on my stomach and attempted a child's pose, I am literally incapable of pushing myself up to my hands and knees. I am fully capable of doing upward dogs, though... or whatever the pose is called. Would being incapable of getting into child's pose from my stomach indicate that is the type of lower back problem causing my side leg pain?

Hey! I wanted to ask you something about your patellar tendonitis video you uploaded about 4 months ago. I've been doing the stretches and isometrics for about 2 days now and it's helped me a lot. But I wanted to ask if it helps doing the stretches more than once a day?
@toneandtighten4 ай бұрын
Hi, @williamnorman194! Stretches can be done 2-3 times/day as long as they're kept in your pain tolerance. Strength exercises just once a day to allow adequate time for muscle recovery. I hope they continue to help you! Thanks for commenting.

Hi I’d like to say I’m 21, and a week after my birthday my back started hurting, and all I was doing was sitting down. I don’t know if popping your back is a common reason to have sciatic pain, but the pain happened that day, that was in January. The pain was obviously there and after a few months I went to the hospital, and they gave me some medication and told me to do therapy for it, but I work in construction so I never did the (proper) therapy. About a month ago my pain was at an all time high, I couldn’t move and ven a little bit, it was almost impossible. The doctors said that I have a bone sticking out just barely, they game me more medication and told me to do physical therapy again. I’ve done a few of the moves that you’ve shown, but I was wondering will the theory ever END my pain permanently, or would I need surgery?

Hi .. I have pinched nerve at side of knee .. X-ray shows osteoarthritis of knee .. is it likely bone spurs irritating the nerve? I like to do circuit training but worried I may cause nerve damage ?

I just had a total knee replacement. I started having problems with my sciatic nerve because of the pain in my knee before surgery. The knee is healing. But there are a lot of these exercises I can't do because of my knee. But as the knee is healing, the sciatic seems to be getting worse. Bad timing all around.

Are all of these stretches okay for someone who has had both hips replaced?
@toneandtighten4 ай бұрын
Depends on how long it's been since the replacements, @cathywilliams6306! I definitely wouldn't do these in the first 8-12 weeks and after that clear them with your surgeon. Most hip replacement patients should be okay to do #3, cobra pose in #4, and #5; I would ask about #1, #2, and the child's pose in #4 (rotation and deep flexion are typically contraindicated motions). I hope these things help you, and thanks for commenting!

❤20 years ago I started by simply walking down to the corner and back. That's it because I wanted to focus on showing up daily without excuse. 😊 Also, I started to cut my meals in half. I still ate what I normally did but I started to add veggies to fill the other half. If that makes sense. I cut back on soda I take and dessert only once per day rather than after each meal. 😅 after two to three weeks I cut off sodas and started drinking homemade lemonade and iced tea. Yes, they still had sugar but I used raw sugar. I slowly began to cut back on sugar in my drink and cut back in pasta and bread. One change at a time until you build strength in making changes. I allowed myself 2-3 weeks to get used to a new change before making a new one. If I felt ready sooner then I would make a new change. ❤listen to your body because you'll know what YOUR body is ready for. You're capable of doing far better than you give yourself credit for. Same thing with walking, when I felt up to it, I'd go a little further OR a little faster. Keeping it real and not trying to push to hard to the point of injury. As you gain confidence in your commitment and dedication start doing wall push ups and simply sitting down and standing up fro. Your dining chair but ALWAYS practicing proper form to avoid injury. That's how I got started and shed 109lbs in two years. My first year I dont count it because it was full of trial and error. I was listening to the trainers on television and in magazines and their methods were not for me.😊 I moved along to hiding a trainer eventually after a 65lbs loss due to a car accident that left me unable to walk. I cried doing one push up or dit up or squat then proceeded to a boot camp then crossfit for 12 years until I got chronically ill in 2020, and still am, with Long Covid. ❤ YOU CAN DO THIS. When ANY excuse comes, JUST DO IT. 🎉 Dont overthink it or you'll give yourself great reasons why you shouldn't. At the end of the day, they just excuses!😂 oh yeah! If you "fail" to eat according to your nee method or to exercise. DO NOT BEAT YOURSELF UP. Rather plan your next walk and meal and let it go!!!😊 Youre not looking for perfection but for progress. Just keep going no matter what comes your way! Life will happen but at the end of the day, you have to ask yourself, HOW BADLY DO I WANT TO VE HEALTHY? ❤ best if luck!!! You got this!😊🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 I heard someone once say, the next 12 months are going to pass us by. Where could you have been had you started on that dream? Dont live with regret! ❤May the Lord Jesus Christ bless you immensely on journey to great health!!! JUST DO IT.😊
